Yankees vs Twins Major League Baseball Wagering Pick

New York Yankees: Trying to hold off the Orioles

Cruising along with a comfortable lead in the American League East division for the majority of the season, the Yankees are now trying to fend off the upstart Baltimore Orioles who have closed the gap to 1.5 games. It’s not that New York has played bad ball recently (8-2 over their last ten games) but rather that Baltimore has been just as hot. With eleven games to go, the Bronx Bombers turn to RHP Phil Hughes (6-12 ERA 4.05) who is looking for a fourth straight win. That said, the hotter NY bats will be the difference in this one.

Minnesota Twins: Riding out a losing season nightmare

Although they have played better of late (8-8 recent run) and they put a dent in the Detroit Tigers playoff hopes after taking two of three weekend games, simply put – the Twins still stink. The smell is particularly pungent in the bullpen as the Twinkies pitching staff is sporting a 4.80 ERA. That’s not a good thing when you are facing a club that leads the Majors with a staggering 229 home runs and has scored 30 runs in their last five contests. RHP Esmerling Vasquez (0-2 ERA 6.75) hasn’t won in five starts this season.

New York vs Minnesota Online Sports Betting Game Day Prediction

Twins pitcher Vasquez is trying to make his mark in MLB but it’s an uphill battle attempting to do it in Minnesota. Vasquez has allowed 15 runs over 20 innings pitched in 2012 and we don’t see things getting any better for him tonight. Turning to the world-class sportsbook at the online wagering website, the Yankees being posted as -210 ML chalk doesn’t surprise us. Heck, they are even favorites on the run line at -1.5 (-135). The Bronx Bombers toasted the Twinkies 6-3 last night and we fully expect a similar result here.
