T-No. 7 John Candelaria, Pittsburgh Pirates (14)

One of the lesser-known players on our list, Candelaria retired 14 Reds in the 1975 NLCS by way of strikeout. Though he had a sensational game, the Pirates would end up losing 5-3 to Cincinnati. Nonetheless, it should be noted that Pittsburgh ran into one of the greatest teams of all time in the “Big Red Machine”, as the Reds would go on to win the 1975 World Series.
