Don’t confuse these Senators with the Ottawa Senators who won four Stanley Cups between 1920-27. That was an entirely different franchise, one that folded in 1935. These Senators came aboard as an expansion team in 1992. Ottawa reached the conference final in 2003 and four years later, rolled all the way to the Cup final series, only to be rolled by the Anaheim Ducks in five games.
