Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, more commonly known as Spurs, are an English Premier League soccer team who play out of White Hart Lane in Tottenham, London. Spurs were founded in 1882, and won the FA Cup for the first time in 1901, becoming the only non-league team to do so since the formation of the Football League in 1888. Tottenham have gone on to win the FA Cup a further seven times, the last time in the 1990-91 season. The club also have four League Cup victories, and have finished top of the English top flight of soccer, but not since the 1960-61 season.
Tottenham looked like putting their title drought behind them in the 2015/16 season, keeping tabs on Leicester City during the latter half of the campaign, but their form dipped with a few games left of the season, and they eventually finished third in the Premier League behind champions Leicester City and arch-rivals Arsenal.
Fans of Spurs have high hopes for the 2016/17 season thanks to the young and exciting team that manager Mauricio Pochettino has assembled.
Under Pochettino’s guidance, Spurs finished the 2015/16 Premier League with the best defensive record, and the second best attacking record, meaning their =34 goal difference was the best in the Premier League.
While Spurs fans may be hoping for a long awaited title, bookmakers do not fancy Tottenham’s chances as much, and currently price them at +850 joint fifth favorites to lift the winner’s trophy come the end of the season.

Tottenham Online Betting Tips
Many pundits believe that the 2015/16 season was Tottenham’s best chance of winning the Premier League title due to it being the most open league in recent times.
However, a run of four games without a win, including a 2-2 draw at Chelsea which handed the title to Leicester City, ended those hopes and dreams.
This season sees Tottenham start the season priced at +850 to win the league thanks in part to both Manchester clubs having appointed world class managers, and both investing heavily in new players.
Tottenham have acquired the services of striker Vincent Janssen for £17 million to bolster their already superb attack; Janssen has been likened to the legendary Ruud Van Nistelrooy.
Janssen is joined at Spurs by former Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama, who will add some steel to the midfield, which contains the exciting Dele Alli and battling defensive midfielder Eric Dier.
Spurs’ attack was the second best in the Premier League last season having scored 69 goals and having only failed to score six times in 38 games. This amazing statistic is partly because striker Harry Kane bagged 25 league goals in an attacking and exciting team.
Defensively, Tottenham were the best in the Premier League, and it is easy to see why. Hugo Lloris in goal is superb, while a defensive four of Kyle Walker, Danny Rose, Toby Alderweireld, and Jan Vertonghen backed up the French keeper.
There is quality throughout this Tottenham squad, and the recent additions to it, add more depth for when injuries and suspensions begin to take their toll.
While I do not believe Tottenham will win the league, the +100 on them finishing in the top four looks almost certain with the +600 available on Harry Kane being the top goalscorer also looking like solid bet.
Although the odds will not be available until the initial draws have been made, remind yourself to check out the odds on Tottenham winning the FA Cup. Spurs have a good record in cup competitions having won the FA Cup eight times.
This is also the first time in the club’s history that Tottenham will play in the UEFA Champions League. Spurs are currently +4000 to win the league and +2000 to reach the final, but those odds will swing dramatically depending on who they are drawn against in the group stages.
