Michigan (+290), Ohio State (+400), and TCU (+1600) follow. Continue reading for the breakdown of the College Football Playoff futures.

Georgia (-145)

It's really no surprise to see the Bulldogs as a frontrunner. They went a perfect 13-0 this season and cruised to the SEC Championship, wiping the floor with LSU in the title game in a 50-30 win. On both sides of the ball, this team is truly electric. QB Stetson Bennett is a finalist for the Heisman after a monster year where he threw for 3,425 yards, 20 touchdowns, and was picked off only six times. Bennett also completed 68% of his passes. The offense ranked 13th in the nation in total yards and 11th in points with 39.2 per game. Bennett has the experience on the big stage and is not short of weapons out wide. Tight end Brock Bowers is the leading catalyst with 52 receptions for 726 yards and six TDs. Four other WRs have reeled in at least 25 catches. The defense meanwhile lost a ton of talent to the NFL Draft earlier this year but has managed to still dominate. Most notably, they've held opponents to 76.9 yards on the ground per contest. That's second-best in the country. That will be an interesting storyline against Ohio State, who possess a potent RB duo in Miyan Williams and TreVeyon Henderson. QB CJ Stroud can also run it, too. Georgia is definitely very capable of repeating in the College Football Playoff futures.

Michigan (+290)

The Wolverines also went 13-0 this season under Jim Harbaugh, taking down Purdue 43-22 in the Big Ten Championship. Quarterback J.J. McCarthy was a big reason for their brilliance, throwing for over 2,300 yards and 20 touchdowns while also rushing for 254 yards. Last year, Michigan was blown out by Ohio State in the CFP Semifinal and although they won't face them right away, a victory over TCU could set up a rematch in the new year. It's something the Wolverines are hoping for. This offense is very, very good with a plethora of targets led by Ronnie Bell, who had 56 receptions this year. But, a knee injury to star back Blake Corum has hit Michigan hard. Thankfully, backup Donovan Edwards is proving he can get it done in Corum's place. In the Purdue game, he ran for 7.4 yards per carry and is averaging that same number on the year. Defensively, the Wolverines are also fantastic. You don't get to this stage without a balanced attack. The Horned Frogs are the Cinderella story, but Michigan has the experience. It wouldn't be a surprise to see them in the National Championship.

Ohio State (+400)

On paper, the Buckeyes could very well be the most talented team in the nation. CJ Stroud is a Heisman finalist and replicated his video game numbers from 2021 with another ridiculous campaign, throwing for 37 touchdowns and 3,340 yards. Williams and Henderson are absolutely lethal on the ground and can kill any defense. Marvin Harrison Jr is a surefire star at the NFL level. The most impressive part is top WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba barely played due to injury and will now prepare for the draft. Yes, Ohio State did lose to Michigan in Week 13 and head into the CFP Playoff as an 11-1 team, but they cannot be overlooked. Georgia will be a difficult, task though.

TCU (+1600)

Lastly in the College Football Playoff Futures, TCU. The Horned Frogs actually lost their first game of the season in the Big 12 Championship against Kansas State in overtime and were extremely worried the committee would overlook them for the CFP. But, they were ultimately picked over Alabama and head into their semifinal against Michigan as the underdog of the last four. Signal-caller Max Duggan is the number one reason behind their phenomenal season and he's been named a Heisman candidate because of it. The QB completed 64.9% of his passes for 3,321 yards and 30 scores. Duggan also showed promise on the ground, with 3.6 yards per carry. The Big 12 is not an easy conference by any means but the Horned Frogs balled out, ranking sixth in points and 21st in total yards. Their defense isn't as strong as the other three teams left in the CFP however. That could be the difference maker.

Final Pick

Georgia has honestly looked so dominant all year long. Repeating isn't easy, but the Bulldogs are truly that good all-around. I expect them to be lifting another National Championship at SoFi on January 9th.
