TCU vs Georgia Odds

TCU+13 (-110)+380Ov 62.5 (-105)
Georgia-13 (-110)-470Un 62.5 (-115)

Georgia is a clear 13-point favorite here. In fact, it's the largest spread in CFP Final history. The total comes in at 62.5. Both teams have electric offenses.

This is the fifth meeting between the two programs and it's been all Bulldogs. They're 4-0 against TCU, most recently beating them 31-23 in the 2016 Liberty Bowl.

Can TCU Pull Off The Unthinkable?

Absolutely no one could've predicted the Horned Frogs would be at this point at the season's end. But thanks to a Heisman-caliber quarterback in Max Duggan and numerous offensive weapons around them, TCU was fantastic in 2022, going 12-1. Sonny Dykes' group also went into the Michigan game as a clear underdog. However, it didn't seem to bother them one bit, taking it to a Wolverines defense that was very good. Duggan had a solid day, completing 14 of 29 passes for 225 yards, two touchdowns, and two picks. He also rushed for 3.8 yards per carry and two scores.

NFL prospect Quentin Johnston did what he does best out wide, reeling in six catches for a whopping 163 yards and one TD. The running back room took an early hit when Kendre Miller suffered an injury, but backup Emari Demercado stepped in and balled, going off for 150 yards on 17 carries including one score. Miller should be good to go next Monday, though. Georgia has arguably the best defense in the country, therefore the Horned Frogs will have their work cut out for them. That being said, Duggan and Co. won't be the least bit scared of anyone. They've made it this far.

Can Georgia Repeat?

The Bulldogs were only one of several perfect teams in the regular season, posting a 13-0 record after winning it all last year. Their dominance was clear again, giving up a mere 14.8 points per game while scoring 39.4 per contest. But, Ohio State did give them a serious run for their money on Saturday in Atlanta. The Buckeyes had a 21-7 lead in the first half and were up 38-24 in the fourth quarter. Georgia never gave in though, with quarterback Stetson Bennett ultimately orchestrating a game-winning pass to Adonai Mitchell with just seconds left for a 42-41 win. Ohio State had the opportunity to win it but missed a crucial field goal.

This is the most points the Bulldogs allowed all season long. Thankfully, their offense clutched up. Bennett once again proved why he's one of the best signal-callers around, completing 23 of 34 passes for 398 yards, three touchdowns, and just one interception. Georgia did most of their damage through the air, but Kenny McIntosh and Daijun Edwards also made their mark on the ground.

TCU vs Georgia Picks

While TCU has looked phenomenal, I just don't see them getting past the Bulldogs. However, 13 points seems a bit steep. This team is gutsy and will give Georgia all it can handle. You can splash some money on the Bulldogs moneyline but it offers little value. Horned Frogs ATS is the move.
