It's easy to agree with what Morgan had to say there. It also speaks volumes to the frustration around the state for lawmakers, as they've seen sports betting be on the rise in recent months because of these new markets. With Oklahoma not getting any money from a tax revenue standpoint, it speaks to a missed opportunity as well. It will be interesting to see if any changes come here, but these kinds of shifts certainly take quite a bit of time.

Still has publicly said he's not against legal sports betting in Oklahoma, but at the same time he's also said that he's in no rush to get things done, wanting to make sure the right bill gets put into place. It surely doesn't help too that he's had a rocky relationship with local tribes, who have been the ones leading the charge to come up with the right sports betting plan for the state to adopt. Come next January, however, Stitt's current term is going to end, and he's not up for re-election. With this, people in Oklahoma will be ready to vote in a new governor soon, with the hope being that whoever is elected will be a little more open with sports betting arriving to the Sooner state.
