Devin Haney-250-275-270
Vasyl Lomachenko+210+200+210

Haney is the favorite here, but not by much. He sits at -250 odds to win, while Lomachenko comes in at +210. The over/under in rounds sits at 10.5. These two have never fought each other before.

Fight Preview

San Francisco native Haney (29-0, 15 KOs) is one of the top pound-for-pound fighters on the globe and there's actually been discussion about a potential super fight with Gervonta Davis later this year after he beat Ryan Garcia lately. But for now, Haney needs to get past one of his most difficult opponents to date in Lomachenko.

Haney retained his four lightweight belts with back-to-back wins over Aussie George Kambosos Jr last year in June and October, respectively. The most impressive part? Both fights were in his opponent's backyard in Melbourne. The American has fought since then.

This bout was actually supposed to happen in June of 2022 instead of Haney taking on Kambosos, but Lomachenko chose to stay home with his family in Ukraine during the war with Russia. Fans have been anticipating the bout though and now Haney gets the chance to prove his worth against a very food boxer.

Lomachenko might be a lot older than Haney at 35, but he's no pushover. The Ukrainian owns a 17-2 with 11 KOs in his career. Lomachenko infamously lost his WBA, WBO, and IBF titles in 2020 when he was beaten by Teofimo Lopez Jr and will have the opportunity to redeem himself Saturday.

Lomachenko did follow up that defeat with a pair of convincing wins though, taking down Richard Commey and Jamaine Ortiz via unanimous decision in both. The Ortiz fight was in October of last year, which means Lomachenko hasn't stepped in the ring since. While he is an inch smaller than Haney and has a reach five inches shorter, Lomachenko is embracing the underdog role as he recently voiced.

Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenko Picks

-250 for Haney to win outright doesn't offer a lot of value. I do personally think he will retain the belts with his defensive-minded approach and relentless striking, but Lomachenko has never been knocked out in his career and I don't really think that's going to happen this weekend. Instead, take Haney to win by decision at -160 odds. A little more value for your money.
