Kambosos vs Haney Betting Preview

This is a big-time fight in the lightweight division and could make or break Kambosos in particular. Heading into his last meeting with Haney, he was 20-0 with 10 knockouts in his career. No one could stop Kambosos until Haney came along. The Australian frankly got out-boxed by his counterpart, landing less than half the number of jabs as Haney. That jab wore Kambosos down all night long. He really struggled to land any serious punches on Haney. It was a far cry from Kambosos's last bout with Teofimo Lopez, where he collected all four titles, only for Haney to snatch them all way. It must be known that it's rare to see two fighters clash again so soon. For example, GGG and Canelo took several years to ever step in the ring together again. That defeat is fresh on the mind of Kambosos and he'll be extremely poised to right his wrong and take back the titles to become the lightweight champion of the world again. But, it won't be easy and he needs to find a way to slow down Haney and keep up with his quickness and smarts in the ring. As you can see by the odds (+500), no one is giving him much of a chance in the George Kambosos vs Devin Haney prediction.

Many people doubted if Haney was the real deal before taking down Kambosos. But, now there is only one thing you can call him: The lightweight champ. When he agreed to fight the Aussie earlier in 2022, a return bout down under was part of the contract if Kambosos lost. The question is, can he beat him again? Haney really did put in work against Kambosos, landing 78 jabs to just 32 for his opponent while also converting 47 more total punches. He just looked like the smarter boxer, using his tremendous footwork to bounce around the ring and steer clear of any serious danger. Haney also did a fantastic job of varying his jabs, hitting Kambosos with both head and body shots. With the victory, the American is 28-0 in his career with a whopping 15 knockouts. Perhaps the most impressive part is that Haney had to travel to Australia and fight without a lot of his team, including his father and trainer, who weren't permitted to enter the country due to visa problems. Nevertheless, the youngster kept his composure and got it done.

Final Picks

There is a couple of different picks that are worth putting money on. Firstly, when it comes to the winner, I truly do believe it will be the American in the George Kambosos vs Devin Haney prediction. Would Kambosos really be able to make such drastic changes in only 3-4 months that he'll be able to turn the tables? I have serious doubts. Haney is just the more complete boxer and already knows how to handle the atmosphere in Australia. But with his moneyline odds at a steep -800, it makes more sense to take Haney to win via unanimous decision. This option will be available at Betonline or any other sportsbook once the fight inches closer. I also like the bout to go the full 12 rounds. Kambosos won't go down without an absolute battle.
