Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder Betting Breakdown

Fury vs. Wilder Moneyline Prediction

  • Tyson Fury (-110)
  • Deontay Wilder (-120)
  • Draw (+1600)

The first fight between Fury and Wilder was a doozy. And while it ended in a draw after 12 rounds, many believe that Fury actually won.

Accuracy had a lot to do with it. Fury landed more than 25 percent of his punches, while Wilder's powerful swings only connected at a 17 percent clip. Wilder did get Fury on his back in Round 12 nearly for an entire 10 count, but Fury picked himself up and went on to win the rest of the round.

Whether we should expect this head-to-head to play out under similar circumstances is up for debate. Both fighters are 2-0 since their first matchup, but it feels like Wilder has made more improvement than his counterpart. His huge punches are hitting at a slightly higher rate, and both of his victories since his December 2018 draw with Fury have ended in a knockout.

That could be trouble for Fury, who is exceptional at evading big hits, but not as deft at delivering them.

OSB Prediction: Deontay Wilder (-120)

Fury vs. Wilder Over/Under Prediction

  • Over/Under: 9.5 rounds

This feels like quite the ambitious over/under. Oddsmakers appear to be leaning heavily on the 12-round sample from the first match.

That's not a ridiculous assumption. Fury and Wilder delivered a full-length fight for the ages in 2018, and both remain at the top of their game now.

Still, if you believe that Wilder is going to take this one, it's probably a bad idea to invest in the over. His style is predicated on power and TKOs. He's looking to end fights earlier than Round 10.

Fury has proved squishy in between the ropes. He can dodge not only quick punches but fast-twitch combinations. If Wilder isn't able to get him on his back by Round 6 or 7, his chances of winning go up exponentially.

We're going to roll the dice and say it doesn't get that far. Wilder would be our moneyline pick even if you told us this was going the full 12 rounds, but his brand of power has us thinking he'll both win and do so expeditiously.

OSB Prediction: Under 9.5 rounds
