Now that the football season is here in full swing, there's no question at all that Florida betting is about to reach new heights. This is always going to be one of the busiest times of the year for The Seminole Tribe and its sports betting operations, especially with the Hard Rock App controlling all of the online ventures. With that said, this is something that officials are quite familiar with, as Florida betting regulators reminded users to be careful during football season.
Right as things got stated for the National Football League this year, regulators from the Florida Gaming Commission indeed issues a bit of a warning to sports bettors in the state that they should use caution in terms of not only checking the latest odds, but also for placing bets. There has been a rise in gambling addiction across the USA, especially among young adults. This is the last thing officials in Florida want to see continue to happen inside of state lines.
"Online sports wagering in Florida is generally legal only through sportsbooks operated by or in conjunction with the Seminole Tribe of Florida, according to the Florida Gaming Control Commission," WFTV in Florida posted in a recent report. "The commission said bettors should be at least 21 and should use tools such as spending limits, activity tracking and self-exclusion options when needed."
As we all know, people indeed have to be at least 21 years old to place legal sports bets in Florida through the Hard Rock App. However, this also includes college-aged students, which has become a growing concern among regulators. With the NFL season about to reach the heart of its schedule, countless bets in Florida alone are about to take place. With this, the hope is that youngsters will place their wagers responsibly and not overdo things.
NFL betting is always going to be incredibly popular in Florida
It goes without saying too, but NFL betting is always going to be incredibly popular in Florida, and that's not going to change in the near future. Right now, there's a ton of focus on the Jacksonville Jaguars, Miami Dolphins and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Unfortunately, the Bucs and Dolphins are going through a bit of a down season, but the Jaguars are giving people hope of even more big wins coming up soon around the corner.
Quarterback Trevor Lawrence was the No. 1 overall pick for this franchise not that long ago and he continues to get better with each season. Because of that, there's hope that the Jaguars can go on a deep postseason run, though their Super Bowl betting odds aren't as high as other teams in the conference. The Ravens and Bills are at the top of the AFC.

Heβs thrown 10+ air yards on 43.3% of his attempts this season the highest rate in the NFL.

On the other side of things, the LA Rams continue to be the favorites in the NFC, although the San Francisco 49ers are making the Rams a bit nervous in the NFC West due to how great they're looking. That won't matter to Jacksonville, as they're going to want to keep improving on both sides of the ball. The bettors across the state will keep a close eye on this, and of course place consistent wagers on Jacksonville to keep making a splash.
MLB betting is also going to be strong in Florida this month
Focusing on another sport, it's safe to say that MLB betting is also going to be strong in Florida this month as well. That's because with the postseason here, the Tampa Bay Rays are doing everything they can to try and get to the World Series. Before the start of the season, not many people thought Tampa Bay would win the AL East, but they were able to do just that.
Thus far in the playoffs, things have been looking pretty great for the AL side, though the Dodgers are still the World Series betting favorites. Once we get to both the ALCS and NLCS, we'll have a better idea of which teams are going to make serious pushes to win it all, but it's safe to assume that the Rays are going to be on that list.
Again, this will be something that Tampa Bay fans and people all over Florida are going to keep a close eye on. Pitcher Bryan Baker has been dominant pitching the ball and more of the same will be on the way the rest of the month. It will be interesting to see how far the Rays can go, but things sure are looking good for them.
