Although the Golden Knights were slightly better than the Oilers during the regular season, Edmonton has been a favorite in every contest and it's no different Wednesday as they sit at -182 moneyline odds. Vegas comes back at +164. The total in goals sits at seven but the over has only been hit once in the series.

Preview

The Golden Knights got thrashed on home ice in Game 2 by a score of 5-1 and knew they had to respond Monday. Needless to say, Bruce Cassidy's squad did. Vegas came out firing and ended up winning by that exact same scoreline, with Jonathan Marchessault leading the charge. The winger scored twice in the first period, while Jack Eichel, Zach Whitecloud, and Chandler Stephenson also found the back of the net.

Eichel truly had his hand in nearly everything, also tallying two assists. Most importantly, the blue line managed to shut down both Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, who were practically non-existent. That's a massive feather in the cap for Vegas considering the superstar duo are two of the best players in the NHL.

In net, Adin Hill made 24 saves in a relief appearance as well. Now, the Golden Knights can potentially close out the series at home later this week if they can win another at Rogers Place in Game 4. It won't be easy though as the Oilers will be eager to bounce back and make a statement.

It's a rare occasion when McDavid and Draisaitl don't get on the scoresheet in one way or another. But, that was, unfortunately, the case in Game 3. Edmonton was poor offensively and was outshot 33-28 but did make their presence felt physically, notching 50 hits to just 25 for Vegas. It didn't seem to matter though as the Golden Knights were the ones producing in front of goal.

On a more positive note, Jay Woodcroft's team has yet to lose back-to-back games in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Oilers responded in a big way after both losses to the Kings in the opening round and then also won Game 3 in this series after the 6-4 Game 1 loss. It's absolutely crucial that Edmonton salvages one victory on home ice because if they don't, it means a serious uphill battle to still keep their championship aspirations alive.

Golden Knights vs Oilers Game 4 Picks

I truly believe the Oilers are going to come out all guns blazing here. This team is far too good to lose another at Rogers Place, where they typically play extremely well. Take the Edmonton moneyline.
