In this article, OSB will be analyzing the fighters in each of these main event bouts, offering a predicted winner in both matchups, and also providing some additional notes and information regarding UFC 326 picks and UFC betting.

UFC 326 Overview: Max Holloway vs Charles Oliveira

Holloway will be defending the symbolic BMF title he's held since 2024. He'll also be looking to go 2-0 against Oliveira. As the main event on a UFC Fight Night card in August 2015, Holloway defeated Oliveira via first-round technical knockout.

Oliveira suffered a neck injury and was unable to continue. Both were fighting in the featherweight division at the time.

Fighter Spotlight: Max Holloway

Holloway (27-8) has fought as a lightweight and a featherweight. He held the UFC featherweight title from 2016 to 2019. He lost the title to Alexander Volkanovski and also lost two rematches for the title with Volkanovski. In 2024, Holloway also failed in a challenge for the UFC featherweight crown against champion Ilya Topuria.

Holloway also unsuccessfully challenged Dustin Poirier for the UFC lightweight title belt in 2019. He captured the BMF title with a win over Justin Gaethje. Holloway became the first fighter to successfully defend the BMF belt when he defeated Poirier in his last fight in July 2025. Holloway is 6-2 in his past eight fights.

Fighter Spotlight: Charles Oliveira

The Brazilian fighter claimed the UFC lightweight title belt in 2021 by TKO over Michael Chandler. He defended the title later that year against Poirier. However, he failed to make weight for his next title defense and lost the belt to Gaethje.

Oliveira (36-11-1) has unsuccessfully tried to reclaim the title twice. He lost to Islam Makhlachev in 2022 and to Topuria in 2025. Although the No. 3 contender in the lightweight division, Oliveira is 3-3 in his last six fights. He hasn't won successive bouts in over four years.

Prediction: This fight sets up well for Holloway. The contrast in styles should suit him. Oliveira is a takedown master. He's won a UFC record 17 fights via submission. However, Holloway is a much more punishing striker than Oliveira, connecting on more than double the number of strikes (7.24 to 3.48) than his opponent.

In his last fight, Holloway connected on 445 strikes against Calvin Kattar. He will welcome the advancing style of Oliveira, which will play right into Holloway's striking capability. And with Holloway's career 84% takedown defense. Oliveira will struggle to get him to the mat. Take Holloway to win in the UFC picks, perhaps even via stoppage.

UFC 326 Overview: Caio Borralho vs Reinier De Ridder

It's about bouncing back for Caio Barralho and Reiner De Ridder. Both middleweights were defeated in their previous fights. It was also his first loss since joining the UFC promotion.

Fighter Spotlight: Caio Borralho

Currently No. 7 in the UFC middleweight rankings, Brazilian Borralho (17-2-1) saw his 14-fight win streak halted when he dropped a unanimous decision to Nassourdine Imavov.

Barralho briefly flirted with the light-heavyweight division before settling in as a middleweight. Nine of his 17 career wins are by knockout (five) or submission (four). Barralho has never been knocked out or defeated via submission.

Fighter Spotlight: Reinier De Ridder

Alarm bells are sounding in the De Ridder camp following his devastating loss to Brendan Allen in his last bout. The Dutch fighter didn't answer the bell for the fifth round. His handlers said he was too exhausted to continue.

De Ridder (21-3) had gone 4-0 in UFC before that fight. He was the middleweight and light-heavyweight champion of the ONE promotion before making the move to UFC. He's the No. 8 UFC middleweight contender.

Prediction: Borralho's last win was a solid verdict over veteran UFC campaigner Jared Cannonier. De Ridder doesn't show a victory that impressive on his fight card.

De Ridder has won 13 fights via submission. But he'll find it difficult to get Borralho to the ground. The Brazilian shows a career 76% takedown defense. And De Ridder doesn't really have a Plan B in his repertoire. Go with the more versatile Borralho in the UFC picks.
