Arguably, even the St. Louis Blues might want to get away from Enterprise Center especially when Jordan Binnington is starting.

Do not forget that the college football playoffs begin on Friday. Also, there is NFL Week 16 looming in a big way. Now, go dive into the online picks and news section. The moneyline numbers for the Rangers vs Blues bets are below.

Can Anyone Figure Out The New York Rangers?

Rangers vs Blues bets ask can anyone figure out the New York Rangers? Now, this has been full of drama and seems to be piling on. Mike Sullivan benched Mika Zibanejad for missing a team meeting earlier in the week. He was allowed to practice with the team but could not play against Anaheim. The result was an ugly 4-1 home loss. Arguably, that was not the reason why New York lost but it probably did not help.

The good news for the Rangers is they are not at Madison Square Garden. New York is 12-5-1 away and barely allow two goals a game on the road. St. Louis has won two of their previous five contests while New York has now dropped four of five. Those three Blues losses have been by at least 3+ goals in each game. As for the Rangers, aside from that Montreal win, the other contests saw them score a total of three goals.

Naturally, this season has not gone as expected for either team. St. Louis is battling injuries and their own team strife. Jordan Kyrou was benched at one point and may or may not have asked for a trade. Jordan Binnington is so far off form that Team Canada is not truly even considering him for the Olympics. Mind you, he was one of the main reasons Team Canada won behind 31 Binnington saves against Team USA.

With Joel Hofer eroding into Binnington's playing time and the former coming off a shutout on Wednesday night, the pressure is on for the goaltender to produce. The same can be said for Igor Shesterkin. However, the offense in New York may be under far more stress than even Binnington is feeling right now. Picking the Rangers who are rested and angry is the call here.

Rangers vs Blues Could Go Under Again

Next, Rangers vs Blues bets go under again for Thursday night. It is obvious both of these teams struggle to score goals. New York can here and there. For St. Louis, it may be even worse. the Blues rank 29th in scoring and the Rangers are 28th. Also, there was that first meeting where again the two teams found goal scoring to be rather tough. New York came away with a 3-2 win at home. Darryl Suter one quipped "This is a 3-2 league." It kind of sticks with you.

So, New York and St. Louis are both near the bottom of their divisions partially for their lack of scoring power. The talent is there but the goals are not. For the Rangers, Artemi Panarin has been good but could be better. J.T. Miller has been a sore spot in his second stint for New York. Miller has 20 points in 33 games this season after 35 points (13 goals) in 32 contests after being traded from Vancouver during the 2024-25 season.

For us, the Under rolls in at 5.5 goals. It will not move to 5 given how few shifts have occurred. Some sites have been tempted but it has stayed steady around -120 to -125. There could be a surprise here but given the matchup, goals could be at a premium. Remember, St. Louis has several players out with injury including Jordan Kyrou and Dylan Holloway among others.

Alas, anything can happen but honestly the Blues may just sit back and play a version of the 1-2-2 at this point err neutral zone trap. Even they know they cannot continue to bleed goals (121 allowed - worst in the NHL).

Taking In Some Thursday Night Props

Rangers vs Blues Bets taking in some Thursday night props. One of the true not so crazy things here is taking one of the goalies to get a shutout. The Rangers are only +700 for a shutout. Consider that most home teams get a number like this and it is something. Even the 3-2 score either way is +950 for the Rangers and +1000 for the Blues. It is the only outcome which is not so divergent.

There are other fun and intriguing props too. The Blues scoring Under 2.5 goals is only -115. Given the lack of output and injuries, this was a pleasant surprise. We will take it!
