Album of the Year Bet

All right, we have to start with the Grammy’s most famous award of all. Right now, entertainment-based betting sites have the Album of the Year bet as a one-horse race. There’s Taylor Swift and then there’s everyone else. Here’s the latest betting lines for the leading candidates:

AlbumBovadaBetUSMyBookie
Taylor Swift "Midnights"-1500-1500-1500
Lana Del Rey "Did You Know That There's A Tunnel"+600+600+600
SZA "SOS+700+700+700
Boygenius "The Record"+725+725+725
Miley Cyrus "Endless Summer Vacation"+900+900+900

It’s hard to see someone not named Swift winning this award, and that’s reflected in the -1500 odds. Swift is just a freight train that can’t be stopped — tours, movies, football games, and yes, award shows. The country star turned pop phenom is seriously in a class of her own, both commercially and critically.

Midnight” is the sixth time that Swift has been nominated for the Grammy’s Album of the Year. Three of the previous five nominations turned into wins. A fourth win here would make her the first artist to ever do so — and that goes for men or women.

The album itself is deserving of the fanfare too. You don’t stay in the limelight like Swift has for almost 20 years without reinventing yourself. Midnight is another reinvention for Swift, while also nostalgic to day-one fans. The work is a masterclass in creating an album for every type of Swiftie, as her fans are infamously dubbed.

Taylor parlayed this into a record-breaking Eras tour, which only adds support for a fourth Grammy title here. The tour started off by breaking Ticketmaster and now has crossed over a $1 billion in ticket sales across 150 shows and five continents. As you can see, Swift is doing things no one else has done and she’ll do so again with her fourth Grammy win in this category. Take her to the bank (and throw her into every parlay) because she ain’t losing here.

Best New Artist Bet

Moving on to the Best New Artist award, which is a tad more competitive than the previous one. Here are the betting favorites to win Best New Artist:

ArtistBovadaBetUSMyBookie
Ice Spice-575-575-575
Victoria Monet+175+175+175
Noah Kahan+900+900+900
Coco Jones+1200+1200+1200
Gracie Abrams+1600+1600+1600

You see the odds above, Ice Spice is a convincing favorite, as she should be. The redhead came out of nowhere to dominate the rap game, a genre historically owned by men. Female solo artists have a long history of winning this award so Ice Spice certainly falls in line.

Ice Spice is the easy bet to make here, but it’s not our bet. You see, sometimes it’s worth taking wagers purely on betting value alone. As in, the bet probably won’t win, but it’s worth taking anyway in case there is an upset. That’s why we’re advocating a wager for Victoria Monet.

Here we have another solo female artist who has a whopping seven Grammy nominations — second to only Swift across the board. Unlike Ice Spice, Monet has been around the industry, just not in a solo role. Before her debut album, Monet wrote a number of R&B and pop songs for the likes of Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, and others.

We wouldn’t put a Monet upset win past the voters. The Grammys has a long, long history of overlooking rap artists so Ice Spice isn’t as big of a shoo-in as the odds reflect.

Song of the Year Bet

Once again, Taylor Swift is the odds-on favorite to take Song of the Year. However, the odds aren’t as one-sided as Album of the Year. Here’s how oddsmakers are pegging it:

SongBovadaBetUSMyBookie
Taylor Swift "Anti Hero"-550-550-550
Billie Eilish "What Was I Made For?"+300+300+300
SZA "Kill Bill"+725+725+725
Miley Cyrus "Flowers"+800+800+800
Lana Del Rey "A&W"+1000+1000+1000

You might be surprised to learn that for all of Swift's success, a Song of the Year award continues to elude her at the Grammys. That’s right, she’s never once won in this category. Puzzling, isn’t it? This leads us to say it’s worth skipping out on Swift here. You have to remember, Grammy voters are consistent year to year, and at least in this award, they seem not bought into Swift.

You know which nominee has won this award before? Eilish in 2020 for “Bad Guy.” Here’s another value bet in our mind. Eilish at +300 odds feels like a complete steal given her checkered history at the Grammys — she’s up to seven wins at only 22 years of age. Swift will have her moment, but not here so jump on Eilish’s betting line before it gets shorter.
