Yankees favored in AL East

New York (+180) tied the Jays with 94 wins last year but lost the division title due to the head-to-head tiebreaker. Aaron Judge won his third AL MVP, hitting .331 with 53 home runs and 114 RBIs while leading the most productive offense in baseball.

Max Fried enjoyed an incredible debut season in pinstripes, compiling a 19-5 record with a 2.86 ERA, 189 strikeouts and a 1.10 WHIP. The Yankees could have one of the best rotations in baseball if Gerrit Cole and Carlos Rodón can return to form following their injuries. However, after being strangely quiet in free agency, there are some holes on the bottom of the roster.

Back-to-back for Blue Jays?

Toronto (+275) decided the best way to cure heartbreak was to spend money, adding Dylan Cease to the top of the rotation to join Shane Bieber, Kevin Gausman and October folk hero Trey Yesavage. They also brought in Kazuma Okamoto from Japan to replace fan favorite Bo Bichette.

Can Vladimir Guerrero Jr. replicate his playoff power surge after tying the record for the most homers (8) in a single MLB postseason? If he can't, the offense could be in trouble if George Springer suddenly starts to show his age.

Bet it all on Boston?

Boston (+310) brought in Sonny Gray and Ranger Suárez to join a suddenly sexy rotation headlined by Cy Young contender Garrett Crochet. This season's all about Roman Anthony, however, after the highly-prized prospect slashed .282/.374/.459 with eleven home runs in 73 games.

If Anthony evolves into the club's next superstar, this lineup will be dangerous with new cleanup hitter Willson Contreras. The Red Sox look like a team on the rise.

Orioles a decent longshot?

Baltimore (+425) brought in first basemen Pete Alonso from the Mets following a disappointing last place finish in the AL East. The Orioles shouldn't be nearly as bad as they were in 2025 but a Wild Card berth is probably their best-case scenario in a loaded division.

The Red Sox have a loaded rotation with Crochet, Gray, Suárez and Brayan Bello. If Anthony is as good as promised, Boston (+310) could win their first division crown in eight years.
