Kings-vs-Raptors-prediction

The Toronto Raptors will be looking to get back on track Wednesday night at home as they play host to the Sacramento Kings at Scotiabank Arena. It's a place where the Raps thrive, going 10-3 this season. The tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 PM ET. Both teams have lost two straight coming into this one. The Kings were blown out of the water by the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday evening on the road, while Toronto hit a serious low on Sunday, falling to the lowly Orlando Magic. Keep reading for the Kings vs Raptors prediction.

Before we get into the odds, preview, and pick, take a look at our tips for betting on NBA games and how to bet on NBA futures.

Kings vs Raptors Odds

BetOnlineSpreadMoneylineTotal
Sacramento Kings+5.5 (-110)+175Ov 227.5 (-110)
Toronto Raptors-5.5 (-110)-205Un 227.5 (-110)

The Raps are a 5.5-point home favorite here and as previously mentioned, they perform very well in front of the Toronto faithful. But, they're just 14-13 ATS and have covered only 51.9% of the time.

The Raptors have been the more dominant team in this matchup, winning two in a row and nine of the last 10.

Sacramento vs Toronto Betting Preview

By far one of the biggest surprises in the Western Conference in 2022-23 has been the Kings, a team with the longest playoff drought in North American sports. While there is no guarantee that will end anytime soon, Sacramento is certainly trending in the right direction. At 14-12, they're in seventh place and have really impressed with their scoring prowess. Mike Brown's squad ranks second in the Association with 117.4 PPG and sits fourth with a solid 48.7 field goal percentage.

Franchise star De'Aaron Fox leads the way with 22.3 points, 5.4 assists, and 4.9 rebounds, while five other scorers are averaging double-digits. There's a lot of balance throughout this rotation, which is a big reason for their early success. However, Tuesday wasn't pretty for the Kings, giving up a whopping 80 points in the first half alone to Philly. The defense struggled to contain the entire Sixers lineup, especially Joel Embiid. Offensively, Domantas Sabonis led the way with 22 points, 10 boards, and five dimes. Fox had a rather quiet evening though, registering only 13 points. With three defeats in their last four outings, Sacramento will be hoping to take advantage of the depleted Raptors here.

Toronto has dealt with lots of injuries through the first 27 games of the campaign. That's still the case now, with OG Anunoby, Otto Porter, and Precious Achiuwa all currently sidelined. But, that isn't an excuse for losing to the worst team in the league in back-to-back games, the Magic.

Those two brutal performances dropped the Raptors to 13-14 on the year, which is certainly not where Nick Nurse thought his team would be. The offense isn't clicking, they're struggling to shoot the ball in all facets, and the ball movement has been dismal. Thankfully, their next three games are at home. That being said, the Brooklyn Nets and Golden State Warriors visit after the Kings.

Those will not be easy matchups by any means. As for Sunday's loss to Orlando, Toronto was just simply outclassed. Their opponents shot 45% from three-point territory and dominated them on the boards, 42-28. The Magic's length proved to be too much. Gary Trent Jr put up a team-high 24 points, while Fred VanVleet and Pascal Siakam combined for 39. The reality was the Raptors weren't physical enough on the boards and also shot well under 30% from long range. Not a recipe for success.

Kings vs Raptors Prediction

I'm looking at Toronto's success not only against the Kings, but at home. However, it could be closer than expected, which is why the moneyline is likely the best bet here. Sacramento will push them to the brink.
