NCAA Basketball Tuesday Bets Concerned About Creighton

NCAA Basketball Tuesday Bets get concerned about Creighton for good reason. So, why are bettors worried about the Bluejays? After all, this is a team that has won eight straight contests. That includes three ranked teams and yes, defeating Providence. It was that game which started the streak in the first place. For the most part, when Creighton dictates pace, contests get mired in a lack of consistent scoring.

Despite a Providence home record that is 13-0, Creighton enters this matchup as -1.5 point favorites tonight. While the Bluejays won 11 of 13 since around Christmas, it is the fear of how cold this offense can get. That was seen in an early-season six-game losing skid where Creighton went ice cold for long stretches of action. Unfortunately, fearing that other shoe to drop. Defense keeps the Bluejays in games and yet even that only gets hot at times.

Let's tangle with Creighton or try to by showing them some love and a little hesitation too. It's time for Providence to enter the conversation.

Providence Causes Some Anxiety Too

The NCAA Basketball Tuesday Bets feat Providence who causes some anxiety too. Granted, the Friars winning 13 straight home games while being an underdog seems weird. However, that loss at St. John's was about as bad as they come. Getting defeated on the road against Creighton in January plus Marquette and Xavier is not awful. Again, these represent the top teams in the Big East.

The other scary concept lies in the fact that Providence does not play quite as tough a schedule as Creighton. These numbers do not lie. Creighton comes in facing the eighth toughest schedule in the nation. Providence ranks 92nd in that category. While the Friars' offense is more consistent, their defense yields nearly 70 points a game against top teams. That includes those three previous conference losses. Yes, Providence plays different at home, but at some point, if Bryce Hopkins goes cold, uh oh!

When pondering NCAA college basketball betting, the home athleticism of Providence against the two big Creighton centers who both weigh around 235 cause a certain queasy feeling. Creighton crows about having four players in the Top 100 GSCI. Furthermore, they brought the good early in that first matchup.

Again, Providence rolls in with three players from the Top 100 GSCI and that does not include Ed Croswell. Now, it is that center clash which Creighton eventually exploited in matchup number one. The Bluejays tired Croswell and got him in foul trouble early. Then, Creighton held off Providence late with the offense of Ryan Kalkbrenner who led all scorers with 21 points. Also, Baylor Scheierman played like a swing forward who could slow down Providence's quick attacks.

NCAA Basketball Tuesday Bets Getting Two Points?

So, NCAA Basketball Tuesday Bets wonder about Providence getting two points. The process is this. Creighton beating teams and playing the way they were expected gives them a chance to still win the Big East. Does Providence crash that potential party? No one believed us in December that Creighton could be in this position come mid-February. However, that home-field advantage at Amica is electric. Those numbers keep rising to the surface.

The Providence team has conference aspirations of their own. Consider that the Friars stand just 1.5 games out of the conference lead themselves. Combine that with Creighton almost being due for a thud. It is scary but that is often how the Big East works. Just when one thinks they have the conference, or college basketball for that matter, figured out, the boom gets lowered. Bryce Hopkins and Ed Croswell likely do not get in foul trouble this time around.

There lies the feeling of a flip where Providence shoots hot to start and holds off Creighton in the second half as the Bluejays push. Yes, the reverse could occur with ease on Tuesday night. Providence feels the home love and the crowd loves the Friars. The wildcard could be Jared Bynum. His ability to find open Friars is something which could cause Creighton fits. His speed could be useful if Bynum plays under control. The guard did not play against Creighton in meeting one and is our difference maker.

What About The Over For Tonight?

Finally, NCAA Basketball Tuesday Bets considers the over on Tuesday night. The matchup saw 140 points scored on Creighton's home court last month. Arguably, Providence stayed in that game and again scored 70 points in their last six home games against Big East foes. The concern is again Creighton going cold so let's take a different tact. Yes, the Friars' team over is an angle to dig into and wager on.
