76ers a Clear Favorite Over Kings Tuesday

The Philadelphia 76ers will be looking to keep their winning ways going on Tuesday night at home as they play host to the Sacramento Kings at the Wells Fargo Center. It's the first meeting of the campaign between the two teams. The tip-off is scheduled for 7 PM ET. The Sixers are coming off a dominant 131-113 victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday, moving them to 14-12 on the year. The Kings meanwhile lost to the New York Knicks that same day but still sit at 14-11. That's good enough for fifth place in the Western Conference. The 76ers are a 5-point home favorite and have gone 5-0 SU in their last five games against the Kings. They're also 10-4 ATS in their previous 14 contests. However, Sacramento is one of the best ATS teams around, posting a 16-9-0 record.

Sacramento vs Philadelphia Betting Outlook

The Kings are easily one of the biggest surprises in the NBA in 2022-23. Although it's early, they're currently in a playoff spot, much in part to their sixth-ranked offense. Sacramento is also second in the Association in PPG behind only the Boston Celtics, who have the best record. De'Aaron Fox leads the charge with 22.8 points, 5.6 assists, and five rebounds per night on 36% shooting from downtown. Domantas Sabonis, Kevin Huerter, Malik Monk, Harrison Barnes, and rookie Keegan Murray are all averaging double-digits in scoring, too. This is a very well-rounded attack.

Without Fox on Sunday though, the Kings struggled to get going in a defeat to the Knicks. Sabonis had a team-high 20 points and 12 rebounds, while Murray dropped 18. But, Sacramento shot a putrid 26% from three-point land and got destroyed on the glass by New York. It looks like they'll need to get by Tuesday with no Fox again, who is dealing with a foot injury. He's listed as questionable against the Sixers. That means another start for Davion Mitchell, who only dropped seven points in Sunday's start. The Kings need him to be a lot better in the backcourt.

The 76ers are getting close to full strength after some brutal injury luck to begin the campaign. James Harden and Joel Embiid are both back on the floor wreaking havoc. The only missing piece is Tyrese Maxey. He's still sidelined with a foot injury. Because of the absences, the offense hasn't really found a rhythm, ranking 16th in the league and 22nd in PPG. The defense however, is top five. With that being said, Philly is rolling at the moment. A victory over the Lakers Friday was a good and then Doc Rivers' squad blew out the struggling Hornets.

This game was truly the Embiid show. The Cameroonian big man went off for a ridiculous 53 points, 12 rebounds, and three assists in just 34 minutes of action, accounting for nearly half of his team's points. The Beard balled out too, scoring 19 and dishing out 16 dimes. When the star duo play at such a high level, they're hard to beat. The Sixers also shot an impressive 48% from deep, much in part to their 31 assists. The rock was being distributed all over. That's four wins in a row at Wells Fargo. Philadelphia can make it five here.

Kings vs 76ers Prediction

Keep an eye on Fox's status here. If he does end up playing, Sacramento has a chance. But, as things stand, he's unlikely to take the floor. That's exactly why I'm liking the 76ers to grab another victory in front of the Philly faithful.
