NCAAB September Future Pick On Texas - Online Sports Betting

Late September means enjoying some changeable weather, some cider, and maybe a brunch as those football games approach. Also, the NCAA numbers for 2023's national title keep inching around for some schools. At Online Sports Betting, today we are looking at some more futures for the purpose of finding elusive opportunity. Most colleges have not budged much from the early September totals so we hunt for another school or two . Let's look at another NCAAB September Future Pick?

The question now with the approaching 2022-23 season. Who are some new potential surprises when it comes to the NCAA Basketball September Future Pick? It should jolt some that Texas could move up the odds ladder. Now, this is a calm time when betting online with these NCAA basketball futures. Are there any potential choices as time ticks closer to Midnight Madness across the country?

NCAA Basketball September Future Bets Table

As the numbers tweaked just a fraction, the 2022-23 NCAA Championship, per the BetOnline sportsbook, has been a little surprising to still see some value differences. Now, we have one more college that caught our eye along with maybe some other spots to pounce on. The "sleepers" are once more listed below for the NCAA Basketball September Future Picks table. They are as follows:

Texas Interesting NCAAB September Future Pick

Texas becomes an interesting NCAAB September Future Pick for value and a few other reasons. They did not lose as much recruiting-wise as some believe. If anything, the extra experience and reinforcements should be an improvement from last year's team. That team was a whisker from making some significant noise in the Big 12 Conference. Think about it. The Longhorns lost several games down the stretch by a possession or two -- including games to Kansas and Baylor as well.

So a team that had its ups and downs but finished 22-12 last year (10-8 Big 12) has flown right under the radars of most pundits and books alike. Unfortunately, this happens more often than one thinks. Given howthe Big 12 is structured this year, are the Longhorns a team that could contend or come close to a Big 12 crown? That answer has to be a maybe.

Currently, they are now +2800 to win the 2023 NCAA Basketball Championship (on BetOnline). The only good thing for us is that they are not close to the top tier NCAA Basketball September Future Pick. Why? That answer is simple. There is still some uncertainty with this team and they are significant ones. For one, if Texas is truly primed for a run, then why does XBet list them at just +3800. Why are they +3500 on Bovada? Shouldn't the Longhorns be higher?

Texas Lost And Gained

Texas could become quite an attractive team this 2022-23 season. The Longhorns lost and gained a bit in the offseason. However, the good news is that lost was outweighed by the gained. Texas did lose depth but they did not drop any marquis players and nothing of significance was sniped from the transfer portal. The best part is Chris Beard found a way to snag a big fish out of that portal. Tyrese Hunter comes from Iowa State to further boost a backcourt that includes Marcus Carr.

Between Carr and Hunter, that is going to be one very formidable backcourt in the Big 12. Just ask how well Kansas rode that to a National Championship last year. There is another thing to consider too. Texas plays some excellent defense. It was their offense that deserted them in key situations. They yielded just 60.6 points per game (10th) despite a strength of schedule that ranked 16th in the nation. It was their offense which mustered less than 66 points per contest that gave them headaches.

The Longhorns did return a few players and gained Dillon Mitchell. Now, everyone is going to ask what about the defense? Honestly, do not worry about it. Mitchell, by the way, was the "Number Five" recruit in the nation for this year. Texas got two five-star recruits in all to complete their guard-play.

Francisco Farabello and Fredrick King may not be on radars now but could be by season's end. Farabello could see a major leap in playing time this year and his 40% accuracy from three-point range cannot be discounted. The Blue Jays have a lot of pieces and not just one to rely on. That might be a bad thing but could also be very good in a Big East Conference that does not have as much depth or talent as last year (see Villanova). For those wondering on Villanova as an NCAAB September Future Pick...

And Then There's Tennessee?

So the next question is and then there's Tennessee? Yes, there is still time before the college basketball season and if one is squeamish on Texas, there is Tennessee who is basketball rich (more on the women's side usually). The Volunteers lose Kennedy Chandler but gain Julian Phillips. Coach Rick Barnes has a forgotten prospect who carries a chip on his shoulder.

Now, Tennessee won't sneak up on anyone after going 27-8 last year. When it comes to a NCAAB September Future Pick, the Volunteers are being snoozed on. Inevitably, no one truly knows how and if this team will fire on all cylinders at the right time. Look at what happened against Michigan last year. There is potential and maybe lowered expectations will help deal with the pressure.

Then, there is Dayton who has an excellent defense and again an unknown offense. Their numbers lengthened just enough on BetOnline at +10000 to consider them honestly. They have a +3000 spread (compared to XBet) that should entice some bettors as a NCAAB September Future PickThe safer choice is Tennessee though.
