NASCAR Go Bowling at The Glen Picks and Odds

The 25th race of the NASCAR Cup Series heads to upstate New York on Sunday for the Bowling at The Glen, one of the more popular race tracks in the sport. Last week at the Federated Auto Parts 400, Kevin Harvick managed to grab his second win in a row as he continues to surge his way up the standings. For this race, leader Chase Elliott is a +500 favorite to take home top spot, followed by Tyler Reddick (+650), Kyle Larson (+900), and Austin Cindric (+1000). Harvick is surprisingly way back at +3000. Keep reading for the Go Bowling at The Glen picks.

The race was canceled in 2020 due to COVID-19. 2017 also saw Truex Jr come out victorious. Needless to say, it's been two drivers dominating the Watkins Glen for the last five years. Go Bowling at The Glen Betting Preview

Elliott might be the favorite here, but it's a bit of puzzling. He hasn't won on a road course in over a year. Nevertheless, it's his recent form that makes the sportsbooks believe he can do something special again. The Hendrick Motorsports driver had a span of five races where he came in first place on three occasions and in second in the other two. It was arguably the run of the season. After finishing outside of the top-10 in Indianapolis and Michigan, Elliott bounced back last weekend, securing fifth place. As a result, he's still got a 116-point lead over second-place Ryan Blaney in the Cup Series standings. Elliott clearly thrives in this race, too. He could be worth a bet in the Go Bowling at The Glen picks.

Tyler Reddick has been a beast on road courses in 2022. He's won the last two road races at Road America and Indianapolis, which certainly makes him a contender to do so again here. His team is clearly confidence on these type of tracks and will be poised to find the best possible result. Points are definitely needed for Reddick too, sitting in 14th place at the moment. Aside from his two victories, he's also secured seven top-five finishes. Michigan and Richmond were rough Reddick though, finishing in 29th and 31st, respectively.

Kevin Harvick is a drive you just simply can't look past right now. After ending a 65-race winless streak, he not only cruised to victory in Michigan but did it again the following weekend in Richmond. There is something to be said for a guy who is racing better than anyone else right now and although he's at a steep +3000, anything is possible. No one could've predicted Harvick would win back-to-back races. His only career victory at The Glen though was in 2006.

Truex Jr deserves a look for Sunday in the Go Bowling at The Glen picks. He's a two-time winner of this race and clearly knows what it takes to succeed here. Truex is currently fourth in the Cup Series standings and secured top-10 finishes the last two weeks in Michigan and Richmond. At the least, he could be in for another top-10.

Go Bowling at The Glen Picks

There are a few bets with some value here. First, I'm liking Chase Elliott for a top-five finish again. He's averaged a sixth-place finish at The Watkins Glen and is one of the better road racers around. You could also go top-10, but top-five is probably more bang for your buck in all honesty.

Next, Kevin Harvick top-10 as well. You can't ignore a driver who has won two straight races. He's not great on road tracks, but his confidence will be high nonetheless. As for the winner, I'm going to go Tyler Reddick given both his wins were on road courses.
