Again, we won't know for sure until early November how things shape out here, but it's clear that lawmakers and officials have been on the grind to get the laws changed. With so many proponents for online sports betting, you've got to figure there's a good chance of things getting over the line here. However, there's plenty of opposition too. Soon enough, we'll find out if history will be made in the state or not. It will be interesting to see what ends up happening.

There was a nasty fight between the two sides, including radio and TV ads trying to push people against one another. Both of those bills failed miserably, and California still doesn't have any form of legal sports betting.

This is the last thing Nebraska is going to want to see here. Online betting is a major need for the state, with the potential sports betting tax revenue of course being a major topic of conversation. People must unite with one another and not turn this into an ugly battle. If that happens, then Nebraska could follow the same unfortunate history as California which has held The Sunshine State back for the past four years or so.

With Patrick Mahomes healthy, the Chiefs are once again looking like a threat to win the Super Bowl, and people in Nebraska are paying close attention to how he'll continue to play.

With all of that said, people can only bet on the NFL online through markets. Yes, they can go to in-person spots for those bets, but people are still taking advantage of the Federal laws.
