NHL Series Future Best Bets For June 1st - Conference Finals

Check out our NHL Series Futures Best Bets for the Conference Finals as we inch closer and closer to the Stanley Cup Final!

With the 2022 NHL playoffs in their final month, now's a great time to shop around for betting odds on the Stanley Cup

The Time Is Now To Invest In Series Futures?

In fact, many feel this may be the best time to invest in the 2022 NHL Stanley Cup series futures. The lines are not that outrageous, but there is still value even at this stage of the playoffs, and you have the benefit of a noticeably narrower field.

Our plan is to strike with this opportunity to provide a fresh batch of 2022 NHL series futures in which we'll be tackling all the biggest questions and some top Stanley Cup bets. Should the Colorado Avalanche still be the odds-on favorite to win it all? Do the Tampa Bay Lightning have an even better chance to three-peat? Are the New York Rangers or the Edmonton Oilers possible plus-money choices?

It is imperative that you double-check these odds on the NHL if you're not immediately placing your wager. All NHL betting lines are subject to frequent shifts. After all, numbers can shift a little more from game to game when compared to individual contests.

This round of the NHL playoffs also just so happens to be a great time to look over our online sportsbooks reviews. We cover all the necessary bases so that you can easily spot the best online betting sites for the NHL in 2022, as well as the best sportsbook bonuses and promotions in the business.

Should Colorado Be One Of The Finalists?

It is intriguing that Colorado is even questioned to be one of the potential finalists for the Stanley Cup. They have been favored all year in the Stanley Cup Futures. The problem is that they run into a team in the Edmonton Oilers that features an absolutely dominating line. Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl combined for a mind-boggling 27 points in five games against the Calgary Flames.

None of that should sway you from picking the Avalanche. Not even close. This is one of those teams that keeps finding a way. They outlasted and got past the St. Louis Blues in six tough games. St. Louis was the most balanced offensive team in the league and Colorado used their transition game to finally defeat them.

Though Edmonton has been a more than capable team, their depth has some question marks. Colorado's has less. The Avalanche are also believed to have the better goaltender in Darcy Kuemper. Kuemper is a little more nimble than the 40-year-old Mike Smith. That is the going belief. Both goalies will be heavily tested in this series. The over/under for Game 1 was set at 7.0. That is a mark that has only been seen in this postseason twice.

One team has to advance. And it very well could be the Avalanche. That is why they are one of our NHL Series Futures Best Bets for this round.

Tampa Bay Rested To Face New York Once More

It is hard to believe that the Tampa Bay Lightning were given up for dead late in Round 1 against the Toronto Maple Leafs. They were bruised, battered, and down three games to two. For a brief time, their Stanley Cup futures number rose above +2000. Since then, the Lightning have won six straight games and are almost as much of a favorite as the Colorado Avalanche. That allowed Tampa Bay rest to face New York once more.

A big reason for that extra rest is the play of Andrei Vasilevskiy. The Russian goaltender has been here before and has led the Lightning on two Stanley Cup triumphs. Vasilevskiy along with Steven Stamkos and Nikita Kucherov have a history of playing against another great New York goalie in Henrik Lundqvist. This series could feel like deja vu as they go up against Igor Shesterkin. Shesterkin is almost a lock to win the Vezina Trophy as the league's best goaltender and even got some Hart Trophy votes.

Tampa Bay A Top Team

Even with Brayden Point out due to injury, Tampa Bay is a favorite in this series. The New York Rangers have needed seven games to get past Pittsburgh and then the Carolina Hurricanes. Carolina's special teams fell apart. Tampa Bay has been top ten in both disciplines for several years. The penalty kill is buoyed by Vasilevskiy. They are one of the top teams in the league and even more dangerous now.

New York has shown an ability to play with Tampa Bay. They even won all three matchups against the Lightning this season. However, that was not against this version. Tampa Bay is different now. Their commitment to defense balanced with offensive threats has made them a force again. New York can cause trouble. However, the Lightning simply have that kick that makes them an NHL Series Futures Best Bet.

Other Series Futures Angles For NHL Bettors

The question gets asked. What else is there in series betting? There are spreads in betting as far as how many games does one think a team will win. Tampa Bay swept Florida for example while New York needed the full seven games against Carolina again. If one believes that Tampa Bay will win in six games, one can bet the series spread at -1.5 games. That is just -110 at BetOnline, which is almost even. Colorado at -1.5 games is a mere -125 which has a hair more value.

Taking a look at both series. Colorado at -1.5 games is another one of our NHL Series Futures Best Bets.
