However, the under has come in on the total in six of Edmonton's past 10 games facing Eastern Conference teams. The total has gone over in six of Edmonton’s last seven games. As well, the over has come in through five of the last seven games the Oilers have played against Atlantic Division clubs.

Oilers Make Historic Rally
Yet again, Leon Draisaitl was the overtime hero for Edmonton. The German forward scored his fourth OT winner of this spring's NHL playoffs. That's a Stanley Cup record.

The Oilers became the first road team to rally from being down three goals to win a game in the NHL final since the Montreal Canadiens against the Seattle Metropolitans in 1919. Only six teams have come back from down three in the final in NHL history.
Speaking of rising up, the Oilers have to ride backup goalie Calvin Pickard the rest of the way now, don't they? He took over for starter Stuart Skinner to begin the second period with Edmonton down 3-0. Pickard is now 7-0 in the NHL playoffs.
Panthers Squander Another Lead
For the second time in the NHL final, the Panthers were allowing a multi-goal lead to get away from them. In Game 1 at Edmonton, Florida was up 3-1 but lost 4-3. Edmonton is now 5-4 SU in the playoffs when trailing games by multiple goals.

One bright spot for the Panthers in Game 4 was that forward Matthew Tkachuk was regaining his scoring touch. He counted a pair of power-play goals. Those were his first tallies since May 28 in the Eastern Conference final against Carolina. The Panthers have scored seven power-play goals in the NHL final.
Florida vs Edmonton NHL Final Best Bet
Take away Florida's impressive 6-1 triumph in Game 3 and there's been little to choose between the two teams in the NHL final. Each of the other three games were decided in OT. Two of those three games saw the tying goal scored in the final minute of regulation time.
Resilience and an ability to rebound from seemingly devastating setbacks have proven to be a Florida trademark. In the second round against Toronto, the Panthers came back from a 2-0 series deficit. Then they lost Game 6 with a chance to clinch the series on home ice, only to bounce back with a Game 7 win at Toronto. Look for that Florida trait to emerge again. Go with the Panthers over the Oilers in Game 5 of the NHL final.
