Let’s get straight into the betting, and the best online tennis betting sites make Novak Djokovic the favorite at -160. The Serbian's nearest - and only - betting rival is Carlos Alcaraz who is +375.
Behind the two favorites is Jannik Sinner at +2000. That is some gap in the odds between the leading two players and the guy who is third in the betting.
After Sinner is Daniil Medvedev at +2500, with Alexander Zverev, Sebastian Korda, and Nick Kyrgios, all on +4000.

Djokovic vs Alcaraz
Just when Novak Djokovic has seen off the threat of Federer, Nadal, and Murray, along comes the challenge of Carlos Alcaraz to prevent the Serbian from having a free run at all the Grand Slams.
Okay, so the 23-time Grand Slam winner put the young upstart in his place in Paris. But to all tennis observers, it’s only a matter of time before Alcaraz gets Novak’s number, and when he does, Novak's race is run.

We’re not quite at that stage yet though, and Wimbledon is one tournament that Djokovic excels at. He has won the championship on seven occasions. That puts him one behind Federer on eight and level with Pete Sampras.
Of his 23 Grand Slam wins, seven have been at Wimbledon, 10 at the Australian Open, three at the French Open, and three at the US Open. Along with the Australian Open, Wimbledon is one of Djokovic’s favorite tournaments.

But what of Carlos Alcaraz? The 20-year-old is the World Number 1 and is also seeded 1 at Wimbledon. He hasn’t got the best track record at this competition, although he has only played here on two occasions. Last year he got to the 4th Round, and in 2021, he only made it as far as the 2nd Round.
The young Spaniard has just won the prestigious Queen’s Club Championship, defeating Alex de Minaur to win his first-ever grass title. The win saw Alcaraz return to the top of the world rankings and also saw his odds to win Wimbledon slightly trimmed to +375.
But as impressive as the win was, it’s still not enough to suggest he will be able to beat Djokovic on the grass just yet.
How is Nick Kyrgios progressing?
Last year’s runner-up Nick Kyrgios looks a good price on paper at +4000. But since reaching last year’s final, the Australian has had a frustrating year.
He followed up his good showing at Wimbledon by making the last eight at the US Open, where he lost a five-set thriller to Karen Khachanov. But at the start of 2023, Kygrios had to withdraw from the Australian Open due to a knee injury that required surgery.
The same injury kept him out of the recent French Open, so the Aussie enters Wimbledon short of match practice, and probably match fitness. The chances of him going five sets against a guy like Djokovic would seem very slim at this stage.
But if Kyrgios can progress through the rounds, he will gradually be building his form and fitness. But at this stage, +4000 would seem about right.
Our Picks
We’re not convinced Alcaraz can beat Djokovic on grass. And the Serb has shown over the years that he can keep his concentration in the early rounds, and avoid early exits. He’s won six of the last eight Wimbledon competitions. The last time he didn’t win here was in 2017 when he went out in the last eight, while in 2016, he lost in the 3rd Round.
Apart from those two underperforming years, Djokovic has reached the final every year since 2012, when he lost in the semi-finals. The Serb has an outstanding record at SW19, and we make him our pick to win the 2023 Wimbledon Championship.
There can only be one pick to win the competition outright, but there are some alternative best Wimbledon 2023 bets to be made. So moving onto our alternative pick, BetUS is offering a series of head-to-head matchups. One matchup we like the look of is who will go further out of American Taylor Fritz (+100) and Alexander Zverev (-140).
Neither player has ever really excelled on the grass at Wimbledon. Fritz made it to the last eight last year, which was the first time he made it to the second week in six attempts. As for Zverev, he wasn’t here last year. But the best he has managed in six visits to SW19 is two 4th Round appearances in 2017, and 2021.
We feel that odds of +100 on Fritz outperforming Zverev is a good value bet.
