The third Grand Slam of the year is upon us, and here we look ahead to women’s singles at Wimbledon 2023. There is a three-way split at the top of the betting, with Iga Swiatek, Elena Rybakina, and Aryna Sabalenka leading the way. Here we will look at their respective chances with our latest tennis betting picks.

Who is the betting favorite to win the women’s singles at Wimbledon 2023?
Let’s get straight into the betting to win Wimbledon 2023. And as is the case in all Grand Slams these days, the same three ladies are dominating the latest betting odds.
The best tennis betting online sites are favoring Iga Swiatek to win Wimbledon 2023 at +300. In the recent French Open, the World No.1 was just -120 to win the competition, which she duly did. But that was on clay, and this is on grass, where we are yet to see the best of the World No.1.

Following on from Swiatek is Elena Rybakina at +500. Rybakina is the defending champion, having defeated Ons Jabeur in the final at SW19 last year. Despite being the defending champion, the Kazakh is seeded three this year.
Making up the top three in the betting is Aryna Sabalenka at +550. Sabalenka wasn’t eligible to play 12 months ago, due to Wimbledon banning all Russian and Belarussian players. This year she is back, although she is not permitted to play under her national flag of Belarus.
Outside of the leading three ladies in the betting is Petra Kvitova. The 33-year-old Czech is a two-time winner of Wimbledon, back in 2011 and 2014. Anybody who believes she can roll back the years can get +1000 on Kvitova claiming her third SW19 title.
After Kvitova is last year’s defeated finalist, Ons Jabeur. Jabeur is +1600, which is the same odds as Coco Gauff.
Even though there are three clear favorites in the women’s singles, it is still far more open than the men’s competition, where Novak Djokovic is odds on to win the competition. More odds on the winner can be found on our tennis betting table.

Can Iga Swiatek get to grips with playing on grass?
Although Iga Swiatek is a four-time Grand Slam winner, she has a poor record on grass that doesn’t inspire any confidence in her at odds of +300.
Her best performance at SW19 was in 2021 when she reached the 4th Round. Then, 12 months ago, she lost to Alizé Cornet in two sets (6-4, 6-2) in the 3rd Round.
Winning in Paris on clay is nothing like playing on grass at Wimbledon. Yes, players like Rafael Nadal eventually made the transition, but it didn’t happen overnight. And even for a guy with a record as good as Rafa’s, he only managed two Wimbledon championships.
We are sure Iga Swiatek will be better this year, but we can’t be backing her to win at odds of +300 with her track record.
The defending champion
Elena Rybakina is the defending champion, and at odds of +500 she looks a better value pick than Swiatek. But that said, and without wishing to contradict our view on Swiatek, Rybakina’s record at Wimbledon before her maiden victory 12 months ago was average, to say the least.

The Kazakh was knocked out in qualifying in 2019 and only made it to the 4th Round in 2021.
It's her recent form that should be of more concern to any Rybakina backers though. She pulled out of the French Open ahead of the 3rd Round due to illness. And then in the Berlin Grass Court Championships, she lost in three sets to Donna Vekić at the Round of 16 stage.
Can Sabalenka win on her return?
Aryna Sabalenka is an interesting selection. Of the big three in women’s tennis, Sabalenka seems to be the most consistent across all the Grand Slams.
In the French Open, she reached the semi-final. And in Australia, she won the first Grand Slam of her career.
As well as performing well in both this year’s Grand Slams, she also reached the semi-final of the 2022 US Open. She wasn’t eligible to play at Wimbledon 12 months ago, but on her last appearance here, she made the semi-final in 2021, losing to Karolína Plíšková in a close three-set match.
Our Picks
With grass being such a specialist surface, and the competition being a very open one, calling the best Wimbledon 2023 bets in the women’s draw is a bit more tricky than in the men’s. There could easily be a left-field winner, so we will be naming an alternative pick to our outright winner pick.
For our outright winner pick, we are going with Aryna Sabalenka. As we’ve pointed out above, she has been the most consistent of the big three across all surfaces in recent years, and we feel that makes Sabalenka a good pick to win.
For our left-field pick, we’re going for the beaten finalist in 2021 to again make it to the final. We’re pretty sure there will be a shock or two along the way in the women’s draw, so why not back the 2021 beaten finalist to make it the last weekend again at odds of +4000?
