A third curling event was added to the Winter Olympic Games in 2018 when the Olympic Mixed Doubles Curling tournament debuted. This will be the third Olympiad to feature this unique competition.

While men's and women's curling is contested by four-person rinks, there are just two players per team in mixed doubles. Rinks consist of one male curler and one female curler.

At the 2026 Cortina D'Ampezzo Winter Games, it's the host Italians who are set as the -105 betting chalk to win the gold medal in mixed doubles curling.

Mixed Doubles Olympic Curling Top Contenders

Round-robin play in mixed doubles Olympic curling begins on February 4 and continues through February 10. Semifinal action is slated for later in the day on February 9. The bronze medal game is February 10, with the gold medal game to follow. It will also be played on February 1o.

Italy (-105)

Stefania Constantini and Amos Mosaner won the gold medal for Italy in this event four years ago. Both players are back, looking to defend their Olympic mixed doubles curling title on home ice in Cortina D'Ampezzo and are favored in the curling odds. 

They went 9-0 in round-robin play in 2022. Constantini and Mosaner dumped Sweden 8-1 in the semifinals. They took an 8-5 verdict over Norway in the gold-medal game.

The Italian team comes into this event as the reigning world mixed doubles champions. Constantini and Mosaner won the 2025 world title in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada.

Sweden (+490)

The brother-sister team of Rasmus and Isabella Wrana will be representing Sweden in Cortina. It will be the first Olympiad for Isabella Wrana. She's a former world junior champion and a member of the Swedish Curling Hall of Fame.

Also a Swedish Curling Hall of Fame inductee, Rasmus Wrana is the only curler to win both a World Men's Curling Championship and a World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship in the same year. The Wranas won the world mixed doubles championship in 2024 on home ice in Östersund, Sweden.

USA (+500)

The American tandem of Cory Thiesse and Korey Dropkin were world mixed doubles curling champions in 2023. Thiesse also won a bronze medal in the competition with partner John Shuster in 2019.

Thiesse will also be playing third for Tabitha Peterson's rink in Olympic women's curling in Cortina D'Ampezzo. They are three-time defending US champions in women's competition.

Thiesse and Dropkin played in the 2025 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship. They went 6-3 in round-robin play and lost 7-5 to Scotland in a playoff qualifier.

Great Britain (+750)

The reigning men's world champion and defending women's Olympic champion will be representing the United Kingdom in mixed doubles play in Cortina D'Ampezzo. Two-time world champion Bruce Mouat captured his titles representing Scotland in 2023 and 2025. He'll be playing in the men's tournament in this Olympiad as well.

Jennifer Dodds, also from Scotland, won the 2022 women's Olympic curling gold medal. Mouat and Dodds won the 2021 world mixed doubles title. They won the silver medal at the 2025 mixed doubles world tourney.

Canada (+950)

When mixed doubles was introduced in Olympic competition in 2018, the Canadian duo of John Morris and Kaitlyn Lawes teamed up to win the inaugural gold medal. Four years later, Canada sent a superstar team of Morris and women's world champion Rachel Homan. But the Canadians failed to reach the medal round.

Jocelyn Peterman and Brett Gallant will represent Canada in this event in Cortina. Gallant will also be throwing second stones for Brad Jacobs in Olympic men's curling, so it will be a busy Olympiad for him.
