So now MVG has finally got going, can he win back-to-back nights? Well in the betting, he has longer odds for Night Five than he has had in the previous four.

In recent weeks MVG has been +200 to win on the night, but this week he finds himself at +275 with the best online sports betting sites. MVG is followed closely by Michael Smith who is +325, and then Gerwyn Price at +450.

The betting seems to follow a similar pattern every week now, with MVG leading the way, followed by Smith, and then Price. Peter Wright always is next, and that is the same again this week, with Snakebite at +500. Odds on all eight players to win the night’s event can be found below on our Darts betting odds table. Premier League Darts Night Five Winner Picks

MVG was pushed all the way by Gerwyn Price in the final in Dublin last week. And by pure luck, the duo are scheduled to meet in the quarter-finals this Thursday. This is why MVG’s odds to win the event on the night are +275.

In general, whoever wins on the night usually has to beat one of MVG, Price, or Smith, or even two of the three. And the same applies this week. The main difference for MVG and Gerwyn Price, is that they are meeting in the quarter-final, rather than the semi or the final. This might make for an easier night for Michael Smith, but it also makes the odds on MVG winning better with the best darts betting sites.

Michael van Gerwen is running hot now, and we think he is a good pick to really put his foot on the throat of his opponents and make it back-to-back wins on Night Five. And therefore make him our pick to win on the night.

Van Gerwen -133 vs Price +113

We’ve already chosen MVG to win on the night, so we obviously have to choose him to beat Gerwyn Price in the quarter-final. MVG is -133 on the moneyline, and on the handicap line at -1.5 legs, MVG is +120. We’re going to take van Gerwen to win on the handicap line.

Smith -179 vs Aspinall +159

Last week Michael Smith won his quarter-final against Peter Wright 6-5. He then was on the end of a 6-1 thrashing from Gerwyn Price in the semi-final, which is part of the reason we’re not backing ‘Bully Boy’ to win the night this week.

As for Nathan Aspinall, he disappointingly lost 6-4 to the improving Jonny Clayton in his quarter-final in Dublin. Smith is -115 on the handicap starting from -1.5 legs. Aspinall is also -115 with the +1.5 legs advantage. On form, we can only really go with Michael Smith to win this one, and we like the look of him to win on the handicap.

Dobey +124 vs Van den Bergh -144

Since winning Night One of the Premier League Darts season, Chris Dobey has exited it at the quarter-final stage every week since. In Dublin last week, Dobey lost 6-3 to MVG, which is more of an expected result. But the previous week he was hammered 6-1 by Jonny Clayton in Glasgow. A result which would have hurt badly.

As for Dimitri Van den Bergh, the Belgian has had a decent start to his Premier League Darts season.

In the opening week he lost 6-4 to MVG in the semi-final. He followed that up with another 6-4 defeat to MVG in the quarter-final on Night Two. Then he reached the final in Glasgow, eventually losing 6-4 to Michael Smith, and on Night Four, he lost 6-4 to Gerwyn Price in the quarter-final.

Van den Bergh has held his own. He's only lost to the top three players in the competition, and at +144 on the handicap, he looks a good pick to defeat Chris Dobey.

Peter Wright -100 vs Jonny Clayton -110

Peter Wright hasn't won a match at the 2023 Premier League Darts so far. Can he break his run against Jonny Clayton? The losses for Snakebite have come against Dobey (6-3), Aspinall (6-3), Van den Bergh (6-4), and Michael Smith (6-5).

Last week was the Smith defeat, and the performance from Wright was greatly improved. But the previous three losses would have been very disappointing for the two times PDC World Champion.

As for Jonny Clayton, he lost 6-3 to MVG in the semi-final last week, after beating Nathan Aspinall 6-4 in their quarter-final. On Night's Two and Three he lost to Michael Smith, one in a semi-final and one in a quarter-final.

This really is a toss of a coin match. But purely by the law of averages, Peter Wright has to win one soon.
