FC Barcelona favored to win again

Two other quarterfinal teams

Sporting CP (+2000) and Aalborg HB (+800) placed 2nd in Group A and B respectively, securing playoff byes with matching 8-2-4 records. Sporting CP will face the aggregate winner of Orlen Wisła Płock (+12500) and HBC Nantes (+2000) in the quarter-finals.

Meanwhile, Aalborg HB await the winner of Industria Kielce (+15000) and Füchse Berlin (+600).

German clubs emerge as contenders

Füchse Berlin (+600) is currently the top team in the Handball Bundesliga. The German club It is also home to the world's best handballer, Mathias Gidsel, who has led Denmark to four consecutive titles while being named the tournament's best player.

Possible longshot?

Paris Saint-Germain (+1000) finished the season with the same 9-0-5 record as Füchse Berlin. However, they finished one spot behind them in the standings due to having a lower goal differential. While that led to a relatively easy playoff matchup versus Pick Szeged (+5000), the French team will draw Barcelona in the quarter-finals. PSG lost to Barca 30-22 in last year's quarter-final battle.
