Fighter Spotlight: Knockout CP Freshmart
On his birth certificate, it reads Thammanoon Niyomtrong. The Thai fighter (29-1) took on his unique ring name because he is sponsored by the Thai convenience store chain CP Freshmart.
Oscar Collazo became the first man to win The Ring's strawweight title when he stopped Knockout CP Freshmart, also unifying the WBA and WBO titles 👑🇵🇷

Freshmart held the WBA strawweight title from 2016 to 2020, successfully defending his belt seven times. His WBA super strawweight title reign lasted from 2020 to 2024, with four successful title defenses. He lost the title to Oscar Collazzo, suffering a seventh-round TKO in their November 2024 title bout.
Just 11 of Freshmart's 29 wins have come via knockout.
Fighter Spotlight: Shokichi Iwata
The Japanese fighter is 15-2, with 12 of his wins coming by knockout. Each of his past five victories was recorded by knockout or TKO. Iwata is a hard hitter who is always looming with the chance to end a fight by delivering one devastating punch.
Along with his WBO light flyweight title, Iwata is also the former Oriental & Pacific Boxing Federation light flyweight champion.
In Iwata's most recent fight, he lost the WBO light flyweight title by unanimous decision to Rene Santiago. He won the title in his prior fight by TKO over Jairo Noriega.
The other career loss for the Tokyo-born fighter came against Jonathan Gonzalez in a 2022 WBO light flyweight title bout. Iwata lost by unanimous decision.
Best Freshmart vs Iwata Prop Bet
In the Freshmart vs Iwata boxing prop bets, the line on the fight finishing as a draw is set at +2500 in the boxing betting odds.
Best Bet For Freshmart vs Iwata Boxing Picks
This fight figures to resemble a chess match played out on canvas. Freshmart is a precise fighter. Patience is a virtue to him. Despite what his nickname would suggest, Freshmart is not a knockout artist. He relies on his ring generalship and tactical skills to chip away at and frustrate opponents. Freshmart likes a slow, steady pace to his fights.
Iwata, on the other hand, is an up-tempo fighter. He attacks and delivers punishment via the raw power of his punches.
At the age of 30, the Japanese fighter is five years younger than Freshmart. He also has a three-inch height and reach advantage. Iwata will seek to utilize his physical edge to hurt Freshmart. It comes down to a question of whether the Thai champion can make use of his guile and vast experience - he's fought 254 rounds, compared to 112 rounds for Iwata - to hold off his opponent.
At his advanced age, we don't think Freshmart has the stamina to fight this battle for 12 rounds. Go with Iwata to win the WBC light flyweight title in the boxing picks.
