The boxing world is always on to the next big thing. With the Opetaia vs Glanton bets though, the Moneyline is bluntly not that appetizing. Sometimes at Online Sports Betting, we have to be frank about fights like this. Much like when David Benavidez fights, the lines can look unattractive at an opening glance.
Oddsmakers are setting the champ as the -1200 to -1400 favorite in the boxing odds to retain his title. Glanton has worked up to +625 to as long as a +700 underdog.

Fight Overview: Jai Opetaia vs Brandon Glanton
These two fighters come from different sides of the globe. Some fierce debate exists that Jai Opetaia is keeping the seat warm for David Benavidez. Opetaia is the current The Ring Cruiserweight champion. The Australian boxer has shown some boxing acumen but was off his game in his last fight. He faces a forward boxing Brandon Glanton in his next bout coming up in approximately a couple weeks.
Fighter Spotlight: Jai Opetaia
Opetaia, 30, holds The Ring Cruiserweight belt and IBF Cruiserweight belt for now. He is undefeated in 29 fights and that includes a respectable 23 knockouts. Few want to get in the ring with him but Brandon Glanton was eager for this next bout. If David Benavidez gets past Gilberto Ramirez in May as expected, there could be a mega Cruiserweight unification rumble later in 2026. First, Opetaia has to take care of business in March.
Oscar De La Hoya has declared "The Ring brand is dead," launching a blistering attack on the magazine's new alignment with Zuffa Boxing. 🥊

The problem for Opetaia is this. Even if he wins, he kind of loses. His last bout showed some vulnerability as he was bodied by Huseyin Cinkara. Opetaia ultimately delivered a devastating knockout that put Cinkara in the hospital with some serious injuries. However, Opetaia's right eye was definitely more than swollen.
Fighter Spotlight: Brandon Glanton
The big underdog in the Opetaia vs Glanton bets is Brandon Glanton. Glanton is 34 and has zero to lose when it comes to this tilt. The problem some believe is his turn to pro at 21. Also, Glanton just comes forward. Even with his 21-3 record and 18 knockouts, few given him much of a chance in this fight.

You can trust former world title challenger David Light when he says that you can expect fireworks. After all, he shared the ring with both men.

He carries power but the red flag is that he lost to a fighter who was 3-0 just over two years ago. Glanton rebounded after a decision loss to Chris Billiam-Smith with a much better effort against Marcus Browne. He is going to have to find a way to connect early with his right-handed power shots and combination.
Top Opetaia vs Glanton Cruiserweight Title Prop Bets
Disregard the records for a second and look at the quote above. Expect fireworks which means do not expect a decision here. For Opetaia, he needs to make a big splash in his American debut. For Glanton, he knows he must hurt the Australian quickly. It again sets the stage for what might be a quicker night than the promoters even expect. A chaotic pace is very likely and Opetaia will want to be far more appealing and relentless in this fight.
That being the case, two Opetaia vs Glanton props you should be on heavily early as best bets include under 7.5 rounds (-115) and the fight to end in a KO/TKO/DQ (-250). If one wants to examine group round betting, Opetaia in Rounds 4-6 stands at +250. That expects to shift as March 8th approaches.
People look back on how a David Benavidez handled Anthony Yarde. That is probably what Opetaia must do here. Anything less will tarnish his reputation a little more. Some are of the opinion he makes too many mistakes to make for an appealing fight. Facing Glanton should boost his fortunes a little here.
One Longer Swing Bet For This Cruiserweight Title Match
Again, Jai Opetaia knows he will not get many more chances to impress. Anything less than a convincing and punishing win will be almost viewed as a loss. While a knockout is extremely likely, getting an exact round will be far more adventurous. We ultimately got the Benavidez fight right but took our lumps. Anyway, the feeling is that the Australian will take out Glanton early as Glanton's defense is highly questionable at best.
A Round 4 knockout could be on the horizon.
Benavidez is the big elephant in the room when it comes to the Cruiserweight division. Is that why the Australian suddenly decided not to move up to Heavyweight after all?
