By sheer coincidence, these two nations meet in the opening match of the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup. The problem with betting on Livingstone is he comes in at No.7 for England. This means he has six top-quality batters before him, all usually taking the bulk of the available deliveries, making it difficult for him to top score.
Above Livingstone in the betting are Joe Root (+375), Jonny Bairstow (+400), Dawid Malan (+450), Ben Stokes (+450), Jos Buttler (+450), Jason Roy (+450), and Harry Brook (+450).
Only five of the above are likely to play. Jos Buttler looks certain to be one, as he is the captain. And we also think Harry Brook has been in good form lately and is worth a punt.
Top New Zealand batter
For the Kiwis, Devon Conway leads the betting on +333. Conway is followed by Daryl Mitchell (+400), Tom Latham (+450), Will Young (+450), Finn Allen (+500), and Glenn Phillips (+600).
Phillips (174 runs) and Allen (123) were the two top run scorers for the Kiwis in the recent T20 series and are in good form. We think they are both worth backing.
Top England bowler
In the top England bowler betting, Adil Rashid (+350) and Mark Wood (+350) lead the way for England.
But we like the look of Sam Curran at +400. The Oval is his home ground, and he is due a performance after struggling a bit with the ball in hand lately.

Top New Zealand bowler
