This is the kind of betting story that people dream of. With Florida betting legal and thrilling in the Sunshine State, people are wasting no time in checking out the Hard Rock betting app and placing some exciting wagers. Well, a Florida resident went ahead and saw his dreams come true. How? Because recently, a Florida online bettor turned a six-way parlay into nearly $2 million. Yup, this is something he's going to remember for the rest of his life.
In a press release from the Hard Rock, they confirmed that someone in Coral Springs put down a bet of $30.11 and they took home $1.98 million. This is truly wild for sports betting and you've got to give them credit for making such a wild bet in the first place. Per the release, the six-way parlay had money on Jazz Chisholm, Nick Kurtz, Riley Greene, Coby Mayo, Jesús Sánchez and Bryce Harper all hitting home runs on the same betting ticket.
"While there are a lot of remarkable elements to this story – the fact that our hero managed to turn $30 into nearly $2 million with just a six-leg ticket is certainly near the top," Hard Rock Bet posted on its official site. "Often times when we see enormous wins like this they come on a much longer bet slip. For example, when a bettor turned $1 into $344K last December it took 20 bets… but that’s the nature of Home Run bets – the longer odds can stack quickly."
You've got to be kidding. No one would have ever guessed that kind of a parlay would hit, but luck was most definitely on their side. It'd be one thing if there was a bet on all of these guys to hit home runs in the same week or something, but for the same betting ticket? It truly is remarkable and that's why the return on the bet was so astronomical. If anything, it might entice more people to lay down some epic parlays in the state as well.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. was the hero for the bettor's $2 million parlay
What makes this perhaps even more remarkable was that Jazz Chisholm Jr. was the hero for the bettor's $2 million parlay. While Chisholm is a solid player for the New York Yankees, he's most definitely not known for his power. As of this writing, he's hitting .212 on the season with only three home runs to his name.
He's not a home-run hitter by any means. If anything, he's more known for his blazing speed on the base paths and strong fielding. Before the Yankees were in action, the Florida bettor saw the five other players hit homers for him, meaning all that was left was for the Yankees veteran to step up for him.
And in wild fashion, Chisholm went to the plate for his second appearance of the game against the Astros and he got a ball right in his wheelhouse. Chisholm ended up sending the ball out of the park and the rest is history. That home run got things over the line for the Florida bettor and it's something he still must be over the moon about.

MLB betting as a whole continues to be on the rise in Florida
Looking at how wagers are trending in the state, it should be noted that MLB betting as a whole continues to be on the rise in Florida. Now that April has come and gone, it means that the first full month of baseball action has been wrapped up. Things are surely only going to heat up with the summer months almost here.
The official numbers aren't in yet, but the expectation is that the total betting handle for April should be strong thanks to MLB betting being in full swing. Don't forget that people have been checking the best NBA sportsbooks of late with the playoffs here too - that's only going to keep rising until the NBA Finals betting comes to a close.
For baseball, though, the Rays and Marlins are not expected to push for a World Series title this year, but they always have loyal fanbases. And with that, those same fans are ready to place consistent bets on their favorite players too. This is all good news for the Hard Rock app and The Seminole Tribe, as the betting activity has been quite impressive.
