Hamlin and Larson favored

Denny Hamlin is a slight +400 favorite to take the checkered flag at the EchoPark Automotive 400. The 44-year-old won the Würth 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Dover Motor Speedway last April. Sitting fifth in the standings, Hamlin has three wins and nine top 5's this season.

Kyle Larson (+450) also has 3 victories in 2025 with NASCAR-bests in playoff points (23) and laps led (854). The 32-year-old won the playoff race at Dover back in 2019 and placed 2nd on the track in 2021 and 2024.

What about SVG?

Shane van Gisbergen is a +35000 longshot despite crossing the finishing line first in back-to-back races. He's also won three-consecutive road/street course races from the pole position, matching Jeff Gordon’s exploits from 1998 and 1999. However, the former Australian Supercars champion has been a non-factor on ovals in his first full-time season in the Cup Series.

Other contenders at Dover

Ryan Blaney (+600) has yet to secure a Cup Series victory at Dover. Although he finished 3rd in 2023 and picked up a Xfinity Series win at the track in 2017. Last week, he suffered his seventh DNF of the season at Sonoma. However, he's a demon on ovals, averaging an 8.4 finish on short tracks in 2024.

William Byron (+650) sits in first place with 668 points. Thanks to a string of poor finishes, the 2025 Daytona 500 winner is slowly losing ground in his quest for a regular-season championship.

Best longshot

Christopher Bell (+1400) won NASCAR Xfinity Series races at Dover in both 2018 and 2019. With 3 victories already this year, he's tied with Hamlin, Larsen and SVG. One of his wins was at Phoenix Raceway, a one-mile oval that's similar to the track he'll be racing on this weekend.

EchoPark Automotive 400 Picks

Chase Elliott (+900) has four top-five finishes over his last five starts to move within 14 points of Byron. The 29-year-old has one career win at Dover back in 2022. We think he gets another one this Sunday.
