NCAAW Basketball Title Bets Welcome Back South Carolina

Okay, NCAAW Basketball Title Bets welcome back South Carolina. So, what happened at the start of the season. Why were the Lady Gamecocks so low? There were several reasons. For one, no one knew how Dawn Staley and her team would respond after the loss in the Final Four to Iowa. Honestly, South Carolina did everything they could in that game. Caitlin Clark simply was not going to let Iowa lose no matter what. It was one of those classics anyone can appreciate.

Despite that, the time to get on the South Carolina bandwagon was before the season started. Staley's team was +1200 on Bovada. After a mere three weeks, they vaulted from sixth in early tables to the top spot. One of the best values on the Lady Gamecocks comes in at +400 via Bovada. That represents quite a shortening of the odds for a team who already had very lofty expectations.

So what changed so quickly? Simply, bettors and experts alike realized hey South Carolina is still national championship elite. One game did not alter things. If anything, it made the Gamecocks more angry and hungry. Maybe the competition is not there yet but South Carolina hammered its first five opponents by an average of more than 52 points per contest.

Frankly, that opening neutral-site game against Notre Dame was scary. The Gamecocks scored 100 points, won by 29, and barely broke a sweat. It was then we noticed Kamilla Cardoso. The 6-foot-7 center can dominate at any time. She creates space for her surrounding cast the best out of any big woman since Brittney Griner. Therefore, that makes the Gamecocks the top team to beat. Then again, maybe they always were.

What In The Heck Is Going On With LSU?

The NCAAW Basketball Title Bets wonder what in the heck is going on with LSU. Talk about a team with a lot of backstory, drama, and something straight out of a Spanish novella. Anyway, LSU played one ranked opponent to start the season. The Lady Tigers, last year's defending National Champions got humbled by 14 points at the hands of Colorado. LSU allowed 92 points and looked completely out of sync.

Since then, the ladies have reeled off six straight wins, at press time. Their next big test comes on Thursday versus Virginia Tech. The Lady Hokies rank ninth in the nation. Remember, LSU started off number one and is now seventh. What did pollsters see early on to drop them so much? Evidently, the futures market has not caught up too much.

This is because LSU dropped only one spot there. Value is not much here because the Lady Tigers are now +520 on MyBookie. They were +240 a mere three weeks ago. One concern is Angel Reese. Her absence causes anyone a considerable worry. She was not with the team charter as they went to the Cayman Islands.

Again, this could be much ado about nothing with LSU. People forget that they got hot at the right time last year. Turning it on and off can be dangerous, though. LSU is still a team to be reckoned with but what happens when they face South Carolina? That remains the biggest question and obstacle along with Reese herself.

NCAAW Basketball Title Bets And UConn?

So, what about UConn in the NCAAW Basketball Title Bets? The team looked pretty formidable but then two things happened. One, they lost to NC State in pretty shocking fashion. The second, and more potentially damaging, was losing Azzi Fudd to a season-ending injury. Again, the concerns only mount after they lost again to UCLA (another school on our table) by 11 points.

Teams like UCLA and NC State exposed Geno Auriemma's lack of depth. Without Fudd, teams seem to be able to attack the hoop and get in transition more often. There is a chance they drop out of the Top Ten even in the next poll or two.

Bluntly, there lies an expectation their future numbers will drop as well. UConn is likely not going to be a factor in the National Championship chase.

Other Teams On Our Radar

Finally, NCAAW Basketball Title Bets search for other teams on our radar. Naturally, the first reflex is to run to Iowa. Caitlin Clark may just win the Wooden Award again but the supporting cast may not be quite there. Indiana and MacKenzie Holmes are intriguing but Stanford (+1200) and UCLA (+1400) are firmly in the focus. Stanford took care of Indiana in their big win and UCLA beat UConn by double digits. It will be fun to see which of these Pac-12 teams reign supreme.

The early bet there is on Stanford.
