Hoosiers vs Ducks

Indiana is a -3.5-point favorite over the Ducks on Friday night. Curt Cignetti's club destroyed Alabama 38-3 to become the only team with a first-round bye in the two-year history of the college football playoff to win their quarterfinal.

The Hoosiers' Peach Bowl opponent is also coming off a dominant victory. Oregon created four turnovers in a 23-0 win over Texas Tech. With both teams combining to allow just 3 points in the CFP Semifinals, it's no wonder the OVER/UNDER is a relatively low 47 points.

Quarterback matchup

Fernando Mendoza and Dante Moore are widely expected to be the top two picks in the 2026 NFL Draft. The former is also trying to become just the fourth quarterback to win the Heisman and the national title in the same season. Mendoza threw for 2,980 yards and a national-best 33 touchdown passes in  leading the Hoosiers to their first No. 1 ranking.

Moore passed for 3,095 yards and 28 touchdowns with eight interceptions for the Ducks this year. He put up a monster five-TD performance in a 51-34 win over James Madison to open the playoffs before throwing for 234 yards and no scores in last week's win over Texas Tech.

Playoff rematch

Dante Moore's worst game of the year came in a 30-20 loss to Indiana on Oct. 11, when he threw for just 186 yards with two interceptions while suffering six sacks. Mendoza also had his struggles against Oregon's defense, throwing a pick-6 that tied the game at 20-20 late.

Both teams' running games were held in check in their first meeting. The Ducks finished with a season-low 81 yards rushing on 30 carries while the Hoosiers ran 27 times for a paltry 111 yards (3.0 yards per carry), their third-lowest single game average all year.

Indiana Hoosiers vs Oregon Ducks Picks

Both Indiana and Oregon are 9-5 against the spread this season, and the OVER/UNDER is 7-7 in 14 games for each team. While this should be a close contest, Curt Cignetti and the 14-0 Hoosiers have been up for the challenge all year, beating everyone in their path.

We'll take Indiana to cover the points (-3.5) with the OVER 47.0.
