Rebels vs Green Wave
Ole Miss is a massive 17.5-point home favorite on Saturday. The Rebels were actually 23.5-point favorites going into their September game, suggesting that oddsmakers believe former head coach Lane Kiffin will be missed to some degree. Kiffin, of course, left Oxford for LSU after winning 55 games in six seasons.
The OVER/UNDER is set at 56.5 points with offensive coordinator Charlie Weis Jr. still in charge of Kiffin's high-scoring versatile attack. The Rebels should put up plenty of points against a Green Wave defense that ranked 121st against the pass and 101st versus the run. Tulane allowed 548 total yards to Ole Miss in their first matchup.

Quarterback battle
Trinidad Chambliss passed for 3,016 yards with an 18-3 touchdown-to-interception ratio after unseating opening day starter Austin Simmons. The explosive senior QB also added 523 rushing yards and 6 TDs on the ground. Chambliss is poised for a big performance against a Tulane defense surrendering 255.2 passing yards per game with a 139.02 QB rating.
Jake Retzlaff completed only five of 17 passes for 56 scoreless yards in a 45-10 loss to Ole Miss in September. New Rebels coach Pete Golding ran Kiffin's defense in that game. He'll be aggressive against Retzlaff, who has a 0-4 TD-INT ratio when pressured.
Tulane's coach still in place
Tulane's coach Jon Sumrall is leaving for Florida, but unlike Kiffin, he's sticking around for the CFP Playoff. Despite his presence, this looks like a mismatch on paper.
Ole Miss dominated on the ground in their first meeting, compiling 241 yards with a 5.7 yards-per-carry average. With a dual-threat QB in Chambliss and a talented RB in Kewan Lacy, it's hard to see how the Green Wave will shut the Rebels down.
Jon Sumrall, who will leave Tulane for Florida after this season, has donated $100,000 to support his former program and the Green Wave's new head coach.

Ole Miss vs Tulane Picks
Ole Miss will almost certainly advance in the CFP Playoff to face Georgia in the Sugar Bowl. While Kiffin's loss could prove to be a distraction, a motivated Rebels team should cover the points (-17.5) versus Tulane, with the UNDER 56.5.
