NFL Betting News This Month | Training Camp, Super Bowl Odds, Market Watch & Key Games | July, 2026

With all 32 teams either in camp or about to report, the offseason talk is giving way to real competition, especially for the Arizona Cardinals and Carolina Panthers as they prepare for the Hall of Fame Game on August 6.

No more shorts-and-shells optimism. The pads are coming on, and roster spots, starting jobs and futures prices are about to be put to the test.

Among the headline fixtures in Week 1, the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks open the season against the New England Patriots in a rare Wednesday night game, before the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams meet in Australia.

The opening weekend also brings Bears v Panthers, Buccaneers v Bengals, Bills v Texans, Cowboys v Giants and Broncos v Chiefs, giving us a strong early read on several teams being heavily backed in the outright markets.

Futures markets are now reacting to roster moves, quarterback health, contract situations, rest advantages and training camp reports. For all your news, views, and analysis, check out NFL betting.

Browns Trying To Rebuild

Patrick Mahomes has signed a historic extension that keeps him under contract through the 2033 season. The deal is significant not only because it keeps Mahomes tied to the Chiefs deep into his career, but because it shows the franchise has no major long-term concerns about his recovery from last season’s knee injury.

The Chiefs are currently priced around +1500 in the Super Bowl futures market, which feels unusual for a team led by Mahomes and Andy Reid. The obvious reason is uncertainty. Mahomes is coming off the ACL and LCL tear suffered late last season, and the Chiefs offense has not looked fully convincing for a couple of years. If Mahomes is close to himself by September, +1500 could quickly disappear.

Xavier Worthy will be one of the most important players to watch in camp. With Rashee Rice missing significant time over the last two seasons through suspension and injuries, Worthy could be asked to take on more responsibility. The Chiefs may use him early in the season on screens, handoffs and manufactured touches while Mahomes works his way back to full sharpness.
Michael Penix Jr. believes he will be ready for camp, but he has still not been cleared for full 11-on-11 work, which makes his battle with Tua Tagovailoa even more intriguing. Reports suggest that Tua currently appears to have the subtle edge, even if nothing has been formally decided.

New Falcons head coach Kevin Stefanski has been careful not to declare a leader too early, saying the team is not giving out jobs in June. That is the right message publicly, but the reality is that Penix has ground to make up. If he cannot get fully cleared and string together a strong camp, Tua’s experience could make him the safer Week 1 option.

From a betting perspective, Atlanta remain more of a long-shot proposition than a serious Super Bowl contender. The Falcons are priced around +6600 in the futures market, which reflects both the talent on the roster and the uncertainty under center. If Tua wins the job cleanly and looks sharp in August, that number could shorten. If the quarterback battle drags, Atlanta may remain a difficult team to trust.
The Bengals are another team attracting attention after minicamp. Joe Burrow is healthy, confident and talking like a quarterback who knows his team can be dangerous again.

The issue, as always, is whether the defense can hold up. Cincinnati have been active in trying to fix a unit that has declined over recent seasons, but there is still plenty to prove. The positive angle for bettors is that the schedule looks manageable within the division, and Burrow entering the season healthy changes the feel around the entire franchise.

At around +3000 for the Super Bowl, the Bengals are not being priced like one of the league’s elite teams, but they are certainly interesting. If Burrow stays upright and the defense improves even slightly, Cincinnati could become one of the more dangerous mid-range futures plays on the board.
Philadelphia have also been forced into a major reset at wide receiver after trading A.J. Brown to the New England Patriots. That move had a direct impact on the futures market, with the Eagles drifting from +1500 to +1800 on BetNow after the deal. New England moved into the same general range, although early betting interest has reportedly remained fairly quiet around both teams.

For the Eagles, the focus now turns to rookie Makai Lemon and offseason addition Dontayvion Wicks. Lemon has been talked about as a potential slot weapon, although a right leg injury means he may enter training camp with some catching up to do. Wicks, meanwhile, could be asked to fill some of the bigger-bodied receiver work that Brown previously handled.

The Eagles still have Jalen Hurts, still have a strong roster and still have recent championship pedigree, but replacing Brown is not a small task. Their price now feels about right: still respected, but no longer being treated as a fully settled NFC powerhouse.
Cleveland remain a huge outsider in the Super Bowl market, but there is at least some optimism around their revamped receiver room. The Browns added first-round pick KC Concepcion and second-rounder Denzel Boston, while keeping Jerry Jeudy involved alongside Cedric Tillman, Isaiah Bond and free-agent addition Tylan Wallace.

Concepcion has already said the group “can be dangerous,” and the fit makes sense. His speed, change of direction and run-after-catch ability should give Todd Monken a genuine playmaking option in a passing game that badly needed one. Last season, tight end Harold Fannin Jr. led the Browns with 731 receiving yards, while Jeudy was the top wideout with just 602. That tells you how much improvement was needed.

The Browns are still priced as long-shots, and the Myles Garrett trade underlines that this is more of a reset than a win-now push. But if the young receivers hit quickly, Cleveland could at least become a much more watchable team than the market currently suggests.

Rest, travel and training camp matter

While the big names dominate headlines, sharper bettors will also be watching rest schedules, joint practices and travel spots. The NFL has confirmed that 28 teams will take part in joint practices during the 2026 preseason, with sessions including Cowboys-Rams, Bears-Bengals, Bills-Browns, Eagles-Patriots and 49ers-Chargers.

These practices often reveal more than preseason games, particularly for offensive line chemistry, quarterback timing and defensive depth.

Training camp will also give us a better read on injured stars. Mahomes’ mobility, Penix’s clearance, Sam LaPorta’s return in Detroit, Cam Skattebo’s health with the Giants and several rookie receiver roles will all matter.

Super Bowl odds movers: biggest risers, fallers and value bets

Biggest risers

Los Angeles Rams (+550)

The biggest risers on the board are the Rams. Already viewed as one of the strongest teams in the NFC, the Rams have now moved to the top of the Super Bowl market after a huge offseason. Their price has shortened to around +550, with BetNow listing them as the team leading both ticket count and money in the Super Bowl futures market. On paper, the Rams now look like the most complete roster in football.

Denver Broncos (+1800)

The Broncos have also attracted serious support. They are not being priced like one of the elite teams, but their movement in both ticket count and money suggests bettors are buying into their upside before the market fully catches up.

Chicago Bears (+2500)

The Bears are another team gaining attention. At around +2500, they still sit outside the top tier, but Caleb Williams gives them a ceiling that is hard to ignore. If he takes another step in training camp, Chicago’s current price may not last long.

Biggest fallers

Seattle Seahawks (+1100)

The defending champion Seahawks have drifted slightly despite last season’s Super Bowl win. They remain a serious NFC contender, but the market has clearly reacted to the Rams strengthening. Repeating is never easy, and bettors appear less convinced that Seattle should still be viewed as the team to beat.

Philadelphia Eagles (+1600)

The Eagles have also lost some momentum in the market. Their roster still has plenty of quality, but after a disruptive offseason, they no longer feel like one of the safest NFC plays. Unless their new-look offense settles quickly in camp, they may remain in that awkward middle ground between contender and question mark.

Best value left on the board

Kansas City Chiefs (+1600)

The most interesting value may still be the Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid are rarely available at this kind of number, with Kansas City sitting outside the very top group of favourites. The concern is Mahomes’ health and whether the offense can rediscover its rhythm, but if camp reports are positive, the Chiefs could shorten very quickly.

Cincinnati Bengals (+3000)

The Bengals also look interesting at a bigger price. Joe Burrow’s health changes everything, and if the defense improves even slightly, Cincinnati could become one of the most dangerous teams outside the top tier.
