Gavin Newsom favored
Gavin Newsom (+400) is favored to be the next Democratic nominee. While the California governor might be too tanned, affluent and handsome to win over the Rust Belt, he has been using podcasts to court right wing voters in recent months.
Before Trump decided to enter a war with Iran, Newsom also found himself with a national spotlight after the President used federal law enforcement to quell peaceful protests over immigration arrests in the state.
Since he'll be term-limited out of his current post following the 2026 elections, Newsom will be perfectly positioned to campaign during the Democratic primary.

Other Governors could make a run
Josh Shapiro (+800) was reportedly Kamala Harris’ second choice as running mate before she decided on Minnesota governor Tim Walz. The Pennsylvania governor has a high approval rate in his battleground state.
J.B. Pritzker (+1000) never shies away from a fight with Trump. And thanks to his family's multi-billion-dollar Hyatt hotel chain, the Illinois governor has plenty of funds to put into his campaign.
Gretchen Whitmer (+1200) brings no-nonsense Midwestern appeal, and as the Michigan governor, she's a popular leader of a swing state much like Shapiro.
Could any big names be on the ballot?
Michelle Obama (+2200) has been steadfast in saying she wants to keep her two daughters out of the limelight. However, getting her husband back in the White House would be a dream come true for the world at large.
Mark Cuban (+2800), unlike Donald Trump, is a good businessman who built an honest fortune and has never gone bankrupt. The former Dallas Mavericks owner has reportedly told friends that he would consider running against Trump if he pursued an unconstitutional third term.
Stephen A. Smith (+4000) is a loud-mouthed, Solitaire-playing boob. He's also a vocal critic of the Democratic Party, saying recently that he has ‘no choice’ but to consider a run for president.
NEW poll just came out with AOC scoring her highest approval rating ever.

2028 Democratic Party Nomination Picks
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (+650) is the perfect candidate to appeal to all the poor and middle-class Americans who Trump duped before giving tax breaks to billionaires. With 'socialist' beliefs similar to Bernie Sanders, the 35-year-old Latina from New York City would represent a big departure from the Democratic establishment. But, she's the change the party and the country desperately needs to get better healthcare, education and social programs to its people.
