At (-130), Inter Milan is the favorite to win Serie A once more. AC Milan is the next-best team at (+700), and Juventus is the third-best at (+300). The winners of the Europa League the previous season, Napoli and Atalanta, are (+1200) and (+1600), respectively. Lazio (+4000) and Roma (+2800) are outside contenders, while all other teams are (+10000) or above.

Are We Witnessing an Inter Milan Dynasty?

In recent Serie A history, it is incredibly tough to repeat as champion. Since Juventus's collapse from glory in 2020, which ended their nine-year run, no team has accomplished this. However, Inter Milan feels like a team ready to start a fresh run after winning the championship in record time the previous season. They are the clear favorites to win this season's championship, in fact.

Romelu Lukaku, a superstar who must return to Chelsea after his loan period is over, can no longer be depended on for offense. But the legendary coach Simone Inzaghi, who is about to begin his fourth season at Inter, has kept hold of the majority of his core players. In the last few summers, Inter have sold well-known stars and suffered as a result. However, they have picked up Piotr Zielinski and Medhi Taremi this year, adding more than subtracting.

With their stability, quality, and experience, Inter appears to be fully committed to their current era. They seem to be on the verge of becoming an Italian soccer superteam after winning the previous season with ease. I believe Inter has a very good chance of taking home the championship. This is their league to lose.

Juventus to Win Under Thiago Motta?

In the past, Juventus was the team to beat in Italy. At the end of their supremacy, they brought in Cristiano Ronaldo as if he was a new shiny toy to play with, and they went on to win the league nine times in a row. But because Juve hasn't won a championship since, as his last season with the team also happened to be the end of their dynasty.

Turin's selection of Thiago Motta as manager has instilled fresh optimism that their troubles are almost over. Many pundits have labeled Motta as the hottest coach in town because of his emphasis on the midfield, where he frequently crowds the area with players and tries to develop with lots of passes.

When "Mottaball" gets to Juventus, I'm most worried about the finishing touch. Having a strong midfield is one thing, but being able to score is quite another. I see Weston McKennie playing well in the middle of the field and giving Vlahovic lots of options. The issue is that Vlahovic hasn't been playing well lately, as seen by his incredibly low expected goals total.

There aren't many chances to overload in the last third since Motta wants to pack the middle. Juve supporters will be hoping that Vlahovic finishes when given the chance as a result. I could see it not working out that well. I would have more faith in Juventus' ability if they went out and added to their attacking depth. But avoid Juventus at (+250).

Serie A Betting: Why Napoli Can Finish in Top 4

After winning the title the year before, Napoli suffered a severe case of title hangover, dropping all the way to a tenth-place finish the previous season. However, based on my projected expected points, they should have been in the top three, as they scored a staggering 23 points higher than they did. In a betting market, such difference begs for value, and adding a star player like Lukaku from Chelsea just strengthens the argument.

With Antonio Conte in charge now, I believe Napoli will be routinely underestimated this season. Early success is typically correlated with the hiring of a new management, as players try to win over their new boss. However, Napoli are still worth a shot in the long run. At (-125), there is some value on Napoli. I think they are a solid 5 points above their biggest competition for a top 4 finish, Atalanta.

Italian League Odds: Where AC Milan Stands

AC Milan, Inter's intramural opponent and stadium sharer, is favored by (+700) to win the championship in 2024–2025. By the end of the season, the runners-up from the previous year were still a full 19 points behind the winners. There are many reasons why American supporters should board the Milan train, including the presence of American internationals Christian Pulisic and Timothy Weah.

Odds are accurate at the time of writing but are subject to change.
