Kylian Mbappé scored twice, including a late winner after Raphinha had equalised.
The result ended Barcelona’s perfect league start and cut their lead over Real Madrid to three points, reigniting the title race.
Milan will hope the win can spark a title challenge, although they remain fifth, seven points off league leaders Lazio.
