The best female tennis players in the world have all travelled to Roland Garros in Paris this week to take part in the 2025 French Open, for the second Grand Slam tournament of the season.
The current title holder from the 2024 tournament is Iga Swiatek, who claimed a third successive French Open win to cement herself as the best female player on clay on the tour, destroying Jasmine Paolini 6-2, 6-1 in the final.

Aryna Sabalenka - (+275)
The three-time Grand Slam winner and current world number one, Aryna Sabalenka is a deserving favorite at Roland Garros in 2025 after the year she has had some far.
Coming into the tournament, Sabalenka has won 11 of 13 games she has played on clay so far this season, while also winning the 1000-level Madrid Open. En route to two finals she also beat the likes of Coco Gauff, Elina Svitolina and Payton Stearns to show that it isn't a case of just running over opponents that aren't on his level.
Despite her excellent form so far in 2025, history is against her. She has never won, or even reached a final at Roland Garros in her career - only passing the 3rd round twice before. In 2023 she reached the semi-final, before elimination in 2024 at the quarter-final stage.
She is the best she has ever been at the moment though, and this could well be the year she snaps that hoodoo and claims a fourth Grand Slam title. It's very rare to get the World number one and most in-form player at odds of +275 for a Grand Slam, so take the chance while you can.

Iga Swiatek - (+350)
Swiatek has won the French Open in each of the last three years and in four of the last five years, cementing herself as a clay expert on the WTP tennis tour.
Ahead of the Madrid Open at the end of last month, the Pole was a heavy favorite to find success in Paris once again, being priced as short as -175 with some bookies. But after struggling to a win over Madison Keys in the quarter-finals before being smashed 6-1, 6-1 by Coco Gauff in the semi-finals, they now seem far less sure she will be successful.
That was further emphasized by a straight-sets defeat to Danielle Collins in Rome despite being an insane favorite, and now there are major doubts over her form ahead of the tournament.
Despite that though, it's hard to ignore someone who has only lost one match in this tournament in the last five years. She claimed a dominant victory in her first-round match up too to help matters, and if she is able to get past Emma Raducanu without any issues in the second round expect the odds to shorten massively.
She's the obvious pick considering her history here, so take Swiatek to succeed once again while the odds are still more than decent.
Coco Gauff - (+450)
Coco Gauff has been on the brink of a major breakout in recent years, but has failed to kick on in Grand Slams since her maiden victory at the US Open in 2023. But her best performances in majors have come at the French Open, and she will be hopeful of success here in 2025.
The 21-year-old has been on tour for several years already and comes into this tournament in excellent form, with an 11-3 record on clay so far this season, making back-to-back finals in tournaments too, where she was beaten by the world number one and one of the best clay players in the world.
Her previous performances at Roland Garros saw her reach the final back in 2022 before a quarter-final in 2023 and a semi-final in 2024, so the hope is now that she will be able to kick on and get the win.
At odds of +450 there is solid value there, while she has already dominantly beaten Swiatek recently too, which will stand her in good stead should they meet again.

Jasmine Paolini - (+1400)
Despite being 29 years of age now, Paolini's big breakthrough year in her career came in 2024, where she reached the final at the French Open and Wimbledon in the same season.
She has carried that form into 2025 and now sits in the top five in the world, while she also claimed the first WTA title of her career in Rome two weeks ago, which included a dominant victory over Gauff in straight sets.
The Italian has proven her ability on this surface and her previous success on this court suggests she should be considered as a serious option to succeed if the conditions are right. That is what makes the odds of +1400 so attractive, because she's clearly better than that, and that could be the value bet of the tournament.
