The best tennis players in the world have all travelled to Roland Garros in Paris this week to take part in the second Grand Slam tournament of the season, the 2025 French Open.
The current title holder from the 2024 tournament is Carlos Alcaraz, who claimed victory last year with a 3-2 come-from-behind victory over Alexander Zverev, having claimed wins during the competition over both Stefanos Tsitsipas and Jannik Sinner in the process.
The Spaniard will no doubt be keen to retain his titles but will face tough competition, so we'll take a look at the favorites the tournament as we provide you with our best free tennis betting picks to try and earn you some extra cash.

Below you'll find a list of the favorites to win the 2025 Men's French Open tennis tournament.
Carlos Alcaraz - (+115)
The reigning champion from 2024 comes into this tournament having finally claimed victory on his preferred surface in a Grand Slam, and will now look to dominate the coming editions similarly to his hero Rafael Nadal.
It's been an impressive season for the 22-year-old too, as he has claimed victory in two of the three European clay events, and comes into this tournament having defeated world number one Jannik Sinner in the final of the Rome Open in straight sets.
While he is known for his versatile style with a dominant forehand, reliable backhand and variety of shots to win points, he's also one of the best defensive on the ATP tour which helps on such a slick surface. He's also largely improved his second serve to become an even greater threat to his opponents, which has contributed to his current 21-4 record on clay.
The four-time Grand Slam champion potentially has a difficult route to the final, as he could come up against the likes of Tsitsipas and Casper Ruud before even reaching the latter rounds, but he's clearly the best player on this surface and in great form.
Back Alcaraz to claim victory at Roland Garros once again, and get on the +115 price before it shortens as he progresses through the rounds.

Jannik Sinner - (+225)
After serving a three-month suspension for doping, Sinner returned to action in Rome and reached the final, cementing his position as the current world number one in tennis.
His performance after a lengthy absence showed why he is the top-ranked player in the world, and the odds for him to win this first Grand Slam since his return immediately shortened with the bookies as a result.
Sinner claimed his spot as one of the world's best due to his excellent shot variety, his endurance for playing long rallies and matches, and while he has never won at Roland Garros before (his best performance came last year as he reached the semi-finals), he has previously won three Grand Slam titles in his career too.
The odds of +225 are attractive to the naked eye considering his ranking, but it can't be ignored that he has lost eight of his last nine games against opponents ranked in the top five when playing on clay. He would also likely have to avenge his defeat to Alcaraz if he reached the final too, so this may be a bet to avoid.

Novak Djokovic - (+1200)
Arguably the greatest tennis player of all-time, Djokovic is beginning to wind down his career but remains completely motivated to completing a fourth Career Grand Slam and win a 25th Grand Slam title.
Having previously won three of his 24 titles at Roland Garros before, Djokovic also secured a Golden Slam for his career when he won Olympic gold in 2024 on this court, and will be looking for yet another success in 2025.
So far this season though, the legendary Serbian has struggled on clay, having failed to reach any finals yet while also winning just one tournament at all this year on any surface.
At 38-years-old it would be surprising for Djokovic to pull of a championship-winning tournament, with a difficult path to the final laying ahead of him after the draw. But if anyone can upset the odds without it really being a surprise it's him. At +1200, it's always worth looking into a bit more.
Alexander Zverev - (+1600)
Germany's top ranked player and the world number three has been struggling for form heading into this tournament, but he has had some decent success at Roland Garros in recent times.
A night of illness contributed to a shock defeat against Alexandre Muller in Hamburg most recently after accepting a wildcard for the tournament, but he will be hoping to recapture the form which saw him claim a runners-up finish in the 2024 French Open, and even take a 2-1 lead in the final at one point too.
It looks like a real long shot, and the odds of +1600 seem to reflect that too. Zverev also looks set to have a tough route to the final with potential match ups against Djokovic and Daniil Medvedev. If he can find the form of 2024 then he has a slim chance, but based on what we've seen in 2025 this is a bet to avoid.
