Best UFC Fight Night Bets: Thomas Aspinall vs. Marcin Tybura Picks

UFC offers one of the best betting opportunities of the weekend. They have a card live from London that features more than a dozen of fights. Out of all those, we’ve honed in on three UFC betting picks MOST worth taking. Keep reading to get our free advice!

  • What: UFC Fight Night
  • When: July 22, 2023
  • Where: O2 Arena in London, England

Thomas Aspinall vs. Marcin Tybura Betting Pick

It’s a hero’s welcome for Aspinall in the main event. The England-born and raised Aspinall is a runaway favorite to beat Tybura in a heavyweight main event. Per the best UFC betting sites, the moneyline odds are as follows:

FighterGTBetsMyBookieBovada
Tom Aspinell-450-450-450
Marcin Tybura+340+340+340

Look, on paper, Aspinall is clearly the better fighter. A year ago, he was on an eight-fight streak and running for a championship ship shot. Then against Curtis Blaydes, he blew out his knee seconds into the fight. It went down as a loss and took out Aspinall’s momentum from under him. He has not fought since then and one has to wonder just how much trust he has in that surgically-repaired knee.

Tybura sneaks into the top-10 heavyweight rankings, but we’re not overly impressed with the big man. His career just lacks a signature win, despite being with the promotion since 2016. He doesn’t hit harder than Aspinall. He’s not faster. And his output isn’t anywhere near Aspinall’s level — 7.41 strikers per minute to 3.55.

We’re confidently betting on the hometown Aspinall. If this fight were a little closer on paper, we might bet against Aspinall because of the knee uncertainty. However, we just don’t see it. Take Aspinall here, and do so before the moneyline odds become any more lopsided.

Molly McCann vs. Julia Stoliarenko Betting Pick

The semi-main event also features another local fighter. The Liverpool-raised McCann is the one being showcased here. She took is a solid moneyline favorite. However, we think you’re better off taking the McCann-Stoliarenko over/under wager instead. As it stands, here’s the odds both ways:

OutcomeGTBetsMyBookieBovada
Over 2.5 Rounds+120+120+120
Under 2.5 Rounds-150-150-150

We don’t see a scenario where McCann doesn’t win this fight. She’s the far more aggressive fighter that’s likely going to dictate the fight. McCann prefers to stand up and swing with an impressive 5.72 strikers per minute. She has some takedown ability, but it’s nothing out of this world. With the partisan crowd, we expect her to go head-hunting with her fists.

Stoliarenko is more of a grappler with a jiu-jitsu background. However, her takedown ability leaves a lot to be desired. Get this, she has a meager 25 percent takedown accuracy. If she’s standing up, we could easily see McCann piecing her up.

Question is, can McCann stop Stoliarenko? Our money says yes. While McCann doesn’t have “wow” power, she’s racked up consecutive KOs in her last two wins. Both those also came while fighting in London too. We think the native fighter will go for another show-stealing finish in front of the crowd. Take the under here!

Nathanial Wood vs. Andre Fili Betting Pick

Finally, a close fight per the betting odds. In this featherweight clash, Wood is a small, but steady favorite over Fili. Here are the odds:

FighterGTBetsMyBookieBovada
Nathanial Wood-195-195-195
Andre Fili+165+165+165

Fili is almost a 10-year UFC veteran, having made his debut in October 2013. Since then, he’s gone 10-8-1. That up-and-down nature is reflective of Fili’s fighting style. When he’s good, he’s a legit featherweight contender thanks to a well-balanced skill set. But when he’s not on his game, he’s kinda just a guy.

Wood is four years younger and on a two-fight win streak. He had to withdraw from a fight earlier this year due to knee injury, but it appears to be minor. It’s not like he blew it out the knee like the aforementioned Aspinall but a freak injury did lead to some stitches. Still, we don’t see it having an effect on the outcome. This is Wood’s fight to lose in our opinion. He’s a superior stand-up fighter and Fili, when he’s off his game, is prone to getting pieced up.
