Table Tennis Picks; Martin Kowalik looks set for two from two in Czech Pro Liga

The Czech Pro League continues today, and here we look ahead to the day’s action and bring you the latest Table Tennis betting picks. Does this league ever stop for breath? I’m not sure. But one thing that’s for sure is the Czech Pro League is great for wagering on. The action is non stop, quite literally around the clock. Today we’ve waded through the numerous matchups and honed in on what we think are a few great betting picks. Let’s take a closer look.

  • Czech Liga Pro is a Table Tennis competition that takes place on an almost daily basis
  • Along with the Russian Pro League, the Czech competition sees players performing on numerous occasions on their selected days
  • The Czech and Russian professional Table Tennis leagues are the most popular in the world for betting on

Three players who will be competing against each other on Friday are Denis Hofman, Martin Kowalik, and Karel Brozik. All three will play each other once on Friday, and all three seem equally matched. Form hasn’t been great for all the players, and that’s what makes their matches interesting from a betting perspective.

In their match ups on Friday, Brozik is expected to lose both of his matches by the best Table Tennis betting sites. In the third match involving the trio, Denis Hofman is favored to beat Martin Kowalik. Full match winner odds can be found in our odds table below.

At the time of writing, only BetOnline were offering odds on the matches. You can read more about them at our BetOnline sportsbook review. They are one of the better online sports betting sites when it comes to betting on Table Tennis.

At the very least BetOnline will have markets on all Russian and Czech pro league matches, and they are now starting to also price up challenger matches on a more regular basis. Unfortunately, there is still a lack of outright winner markets, and there are rarely handicap markets available on all matches as well. Hopefully this will change in the future, as it will really open up more chances to make money wagering on Table Tennis. Now, let’s get onto our picks for today.

Broznik vs Kowalik Betting Odds and Pick

The first match up is between Karel Brozik and Martin Kowalik. Both Kowalik and Hofman are favored to beat Karel Brozik, and Hofman is favored to beat Kowalik. So this effectively makes Kowalik vs Brozik, the wooden spoon match. At least in the eyes of the best online sports betting sites, that is!

On the moneyline Kowalik is the favorite to win at -200. Brozik is +150.

But looking at the form, you might be forgiven for thinking those odds should be the other way around. Martin Kowalik has lost his last eight matches in the Czech Pro Liga, and in his last 12, has lost nine.

On Wednesday he was defeated in all four of his matches. And he also played three times on Sunday, and once on Monday, losing all four of those matchups as well. So does a fixture against Karel Brozik represent a good chance for Kowalik to get back to winning ways? Or is Brozik a great value bet at +150?

A quick look at the form of Brozik shows that he has been struggling a bit himself. He’s lost his last three matches on Wednesday, and in total has lost five of his last eight.

Brozik’s last win was a well earned 3-2 win over Rostyslav Kliuchuk in his opening match on Wednesday. But Brozik lost 3-0 in his match against the same opponent on Tuesday, highlighting his inconsistent form. Finally on the topic of Kliuchuk, he took on Kowalik on January 31st. Kowalik won that match 3-0.

Brozik and Kowalik have met recently, and that ended in a 3-1 win for Kowalik. The set scores were 11-8, 3-11, 11-9, and 11-4. For us, we think that the real form guide points to a win for Martin Kowalik.

Hofman vs Kowalik Betting Odds and Pick

This is the matchup that is expected to be closer. In the latest Table Tennis betting odds, Hofman is -138, Kowalik is +100.

We already know about Martin Kowalik’s form, but what about Denis Hofman? Well, Hofman has lost his last three, and included in that run of losses was a 3-1 defeat at the hands of our form-guide friend Rostyslav Kliuchuk on Tuesday.

Before the three losses, Hofman won three on the spin. Included in that three match winning streak was a 3-2 win over Karel Brozik, Hofman’s last win. We think Kowalik has the advantage here, and at the better odds we make him our second Table Tennis betting pick.

Hofman vs Brozik Betting Odds and Pick

The final matchup sees Hofman taking on Karel Brozik. Hofman is -200, and Brozik is +150. There’s a good reason for these odds, and that’s because Hofman has beaten Brozik three times in the last seven days. The score lines were 3-2, 3-1, and 3-2.

Denis Hofman seems to hold the upper hand over his opponent and it’s hard to see this sequence ending. So we have to make a win for Hofman, our final betting pick of the day.
