The ATP Tour continues its busy schedule later this week with the 2024 Miami Open down in Miami Gardens. The tournament runs from March 22nd to March 31st and will be held at Hard Rock Stadium. This comes after Carlos Alcaraz took home the grand prize at Indian Wells last week, beating Daniil Medvedev in the final in the desert. With Novak Djokovic pulling out of Miami due to professional and personal reasons, Alcaraz is the favorite to win his second tournament in a row here with +220 odds, while in-form Jannik Sinner is also considered a contender at +250. Others to keep an eye on here are Medvedev (+550), Alexander Zverev (+1400), Alex De Minaur (+1800), and American Taylor Fritz (+2200). Below, find the Miami Open picks.

Alcaraz did win the Miami Open back in 2022 but last year, Medvedev took home the crown, beating Sinner in the final in straight sets.
Carlos Alcaraz (+220)
The beginning of 2024 wasn't great for Alcaraz, one of the brightest young stars in the sport. He lost in the quarterfinals at the Australian Open to Alexander Zverev, suffered an injury down in Brazil, and lost in the semifinals in Argentina. But, the Spaniard undoubtedly redeemed himself in Indian Wells. Alcaraz only dropped two sets en route to the title, beating the likes of Sinner, Zverev, Felix Auger-Alliasime, and Medvedev along the way. That was exactly what the 20-year-old needed to get back on track before the rest of the Grand Slams approach later this year. Alcaraz is now 12-3 on the season. He lost in the semifinals of the Miami Open last year to Sinner, a familiar foe.
Jannik Sinner (+250)
Sinner has been red-hot to begin the 24' season. He was 16-0 this year before losing to Alcaraz at Indian Wells. The Italian has already won two titles since the turn of the year, snatching his first Major at the Aussie Open and also grabbing a trophy in Rotterdam. Along the way, Sinner has beaten some notable names including Djokovic, Medvedev, and Andrey Rublev. Although Alcaraz did take Sinner out in California, the youngster was in the showpiece at the 23' Miami Open and seems to be really coming into his own. He cannot be counted out.
Daniil Medvedev (+550)
Medvedev is one of the most consistent players on the ATP Tour. He's regularly in the latter stages of Grand Slams and of course, won this ATP 1000 event in Miami a year ago. So far this year, the Russian is 14-3, losing to Sinner at the Australian Open final and falling to Alcaraz in the Indian Wells final. Sure, he's yet to win a title in 24', but the current world No. 4 is on the doorstep. He also has a track record of success at Miami Gardens. Don't sleep on Medvedev in the Miami Open picks.
Alexander Zverev (+1400)
Next up is Zverev. There were a couple of years where the German was nowhere to be found on the Tour due to off-court troubles and injuries, but he's back and appears to be a contender each and every tournament. Zverev made the semis in Melbourne and the quarterfinals at Indian Wells before Alcaraz got revenge for Zverev's win over him in Australia. The 26-year-old is currently ranked No. 5 in the world and he was shocked in the Round of 64 at the Miami Open last year by Taro Daniel. Zverev will be looking for a much deeper run this time around.
Alex De Minaur (+1800)
Aussie Alex De Minaur is playing well to begin the season, winning a title in Acapulco where he defeated Norwegian Casper Ruud in the final. De Minaur is 17-5 thus far and was eliminated in the Round of 16 last week in the desert by Zverev. He also made the final in Rotterdam but couldn't get past Sinner. As for the Major on home soil, De Minaur bowed out in the Round of 16 at the hands of Andrey Rublev.
Taylor Fritz (+2200)
Taylor Fritz will have a slight advantage on American turf in Miami after losing in the last 16 at Indian Wells to Holger Rune. The hard-hitting 26-year-old is ranked 13th on the Tour and did win a title at Delray Beach, beating fellow American Tommy Paul in the final. Fritz was eliminated in the quarters last year in Miami by Alcaraz.
Miami Open Picks
I have to ride Alcaraz with the momentum he has right now, but I also like Sinner for a bet, too. The Italian won't be short on confidence despite the loss to the Spaniard at Indian Wells. A little bit of money on both is a good choice.
