Following their stunning Game 5 verdict, oddsmakers are liking Florida to complete the journey to a second straight Stanley Cup. For Game 6, the Panthers are -147 home favorites.

Oilers Uncertain About Starting Goalie
The season is on the line for the Oilers. They can't lose another game. And going into their most important game of the season, Edmonton coach Kris Knoblauch is mum on who will be his starting goalie.

Backup Calvin Pickard started Game 5 and took his first loss in eight decisions in this spring's NHL playoffs. While Knoblauch didn't fault Pickard for the loss, the fact of the matter is that five goals wound up in Edmonton's net.
No. 1 goalie Stuart Skinner is 7-6 with a 2.99 goals-against average and .891 save percentage in the playoffs. Pickard is 7-1 with a 2.85 GAA and .886 save percentage.
Bennett, Marchand Keep Carrying Panthers
Two players who might not be in Florida next season continue to prove to be catalysts in this Stanley Cup run. Forwards Brad Marchand and Sam Bennett will both be unrestricted free agents on July 1.

In Florida's Game 5 triumph, veteran Marchand, 37, opened the scoring. Then he made it 3-0 with a spectacular breakaway goal. Marchand has scored five goals in this series. That's a NHL final record for a player his age or older.
Bennett also scored in Game 5. The rugged forward has scored 15 goals to lead all shooters in the NHL playoffs.
Edmonton vs Florida NHL Final Best Bet
The Panthers have a habit of doing things the hard way. In last spring's NHL final, they went up 3-0 on Edmonton, but needed to go the full seven games to beat the Oilers. They've squandered multi-goal leads in both of their losses in this year's set. In the second round against Toronto, Florida came home up 3-2 for Game 6 and were shutout 2-0 on home ice.
That being the case, it's hard to imagine the Panthers wanting to risk another trip to Edmonton for Game 7. They'll come out strong and finish the job. Go with the Panthers to win on home ice and take the title in NHL final betting.
