Something to perhaps keep in mind when wagering in this race. Five drivers have won their first F1 victory at Hungaroring. That group included Piastri last year.
Oscar Piastri (+155)
The series leader ended a three-race winless skid with his victory in Belgium. Piastri has finished among the top three in 11 of the past 12 races.
He was the race winner in last year's Hungarian Grand Prix. Piastri is known as a clinical driver, and Hungaroring is viewed as the most technical track on the F1 circuit.
Lando Norris (+165)
Norris was leading last year's Hungarian Grand Prix when orders came from the McLaren hierarchy that he was to relinquish top spot to teammate Piastri.
Norris has won three of the past six events.
Max Verstappen (+600)
The Red Bull driver and four-time reigning F1 champion has won at Hungaroring in 2022 and 2023. Verstappen has gone six races without a win. He's only recorded one podium finish in that span, a second in the Canadian Grand Prix.

Team officials were confirming earlier this week that the window for Verstappen to get out of his contract with Red Bull had expired. If so, will the certainty of where he'll be racing next season offer him peace of mind and, with it, more on-track stability for this race?
Charles Leclerc (+900)
Leclerc was third in Belgium. He has four podium finishes over the past six races. However, like Ferrari teammate Hamilton, he's still without a win in 2025.
Lewis Hamilton (+1600)
Hamilton holds the lap record around Hungaroring. He turned a 1:16.627 lap in the 2020 race.
The Ferrari driver has won on this circuit more often than any F1 driver. He's posted eight Hungarian Grand Prix victories - in 2007, 2009, 2012-2013, 2016, 2018, 2019, and 2020. Hamilton has also captured a record nine poles there.
George Russell (+1600)
The Mercedes driver sits fourth in Formula 1 World Championship standings. However, Russell is a distant 28 points back of third-place Verstappen.
Russell won the Canadian Grand Prix last month. In his last three starts, though, he was fifth in Austria, 10th in Great Britain, and fifth in Belgium. Over six starts in the Hungarian Grand Prix, Russell's best finish was third in 2022.
Best Hungarian GP Prop Bets
In Hungarian Grand Prix prop bets, Piastri (+160) and Norris (+175) are the top two picks to win pole position in qualifying. You'll get a +500 betting line on Verstappen, who's won four poles so far this season.
In a race matchup prop play, you can go with either Piastri or Norris to win the race at a betting line of +160. Take the field in this prop and the odds are -210.
Leclerc might be worth a play in a podium finish prop at odds of +150. Kimi Antonelli is the +1200 favorite to be the first driver to retire from the race.
Piastri The Pick In Formula 1 Championship Futures
By his win at Spa, Piastri expanded his advantage to a 16-point lead over teammate Norris in the race for the F1 world championship title.
Defending champion Verstappen is third, but he's a fair distance back. Verstappen trails Piastri by 80 points.
Hungarian Grand Prix Betting Pick
Piastri won at Hungaroring last year. He's coming in hot. McLaren continues its dominance of the series, and goes into this race seeking its 200th F1 victory.
It would seem that as long as he can hold off his teammate Norris, Piastri is the best bet to be the winner in the Hungarian Grand Prix Formula 1 betting.
