So, with no shortage of potential opponents for Mayweather to fight, we can look at some Mayweather odds, and see how likely it is for these fighters to take on Mayweather.

Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao Odds

-227

As of right now, it’s looking like a reunion with Manny Pacquiao is the front runner for Mayweather’s next fight. Many are looking for this rematch since their 2015 fight, where Mayweather won by unanimous decision.

Both fighters are in their early 40’s now, so they aren’t really in the prime of their career, but it’s a fight people will pay to see nonetheless. Pacquiao has been the most active in the last five years, so we could see a totally different fight if the Mayweather-Pacquiao rematch happens in 2020 or 2021. He’s won five of his six matches since his loss to Mayweather five years ago, and it’s rumored that Mayweather doesn’t like all the attention Pacquiao has been getting from the media.

Pacquiao is accomplishing great feats, like beating 30-year-old Keith Thurman – which should be unprecedented at the welterweight division for a 40-year-old, and the media is noticing. Guess who else is noticing? Mayweather.

Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor Odds

-883

A rematch of the most hyped up boxing/UFC crossover matches in the history of the sport would definitely have promoters seeing dollar signs. McGregor returned to the octagon in 2020 for UFC 246, beating Donald Cerrone and queuing rumors of a rematch with Mayweather.

The question would be: are we giving McGregor home field advantage for this one – making it a sanctioned-UFC event? Mayweather has been mainly in talks with UFC showrunner Dana White, so this is a huge probability if the Mayweather-McGregor rematch does happen. However, while we think Mayweather wouldn’t shy away from another bout with McGregor, we think he has his target on another UFC fighter.

Floyd Mayweather vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov

-1667

Currently, this bet could be of great value for sports bettors. Day-by-day, the odds for Nurmagomedov being Mayweather’s next opponent are increasing, with March 2020 being a bit of a publicity epicenter (maybe from being in quarantine?).

Floyd has made some more demands, like the diva he is, and if a fight versus Nurmagomedov occurs, it will be in a boxing ring. He demands that he’d be the event moneymaker, so if the fight happens, it will be his way.

Dana White has been denying that it will happen and that Mayweather is blowing smoke, but we still feel that this could be a huge possibility as Mayweather is alluding to two fights in the near future. Nurmagomedov has also announced in March he has received a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia to fight Mayweather of approximately $100 million – the highest payday in his career.

There are so many rumors flying around about this fight, it can be hard to keep track. Many are saying that Nurmagomedov’s father has one condition, that is the fight will have 12 rounds – 11 of boxing and 1 round of MMA, which is outlandish and highly unlikely in itself.
