The Mumbai Indians - who finished fourth in the table - take their place in the Qualifier match thanks to their win over the Lucknow Super Giants (third) in the Eliminator held on Wednesday. Mumbai posted 182/8 when they batted first. They then restricted Lucknow to just 101 runs with a brilliant performance in the field.
Mumbai had to win three of their last four group matches to make the last four. Now after this 81 runs win over the Super Giants, they can officially say they are in good form. The only team to defeat the Indians on their run-in was Lucknow (by 5 runs), and Mumbai have now settled that score. Could it be that the Indians are timing their run to perfection?

Mohammed Shami was the top wicket taker in the group stage with 24 scalps. And Shami has been ably supported by Afghan white ball superstar, Rashid Khan, in this year’s competition.
Both teams have the ability to win this match. And the matchup between Mumbai’s batters and Gujarat’s bowlers, gives this match the potential to be a classic.
